Poison Ivy

1. First Day!

I walked down the hallways to look for my locker and felt people stare at me. I just ignored them since I know it was because I moved here at 3rd term of the school year. Maybe because i was new? I wish I had the power to read minds too.

"MONSTER!!" one girl screamed at the top of her lungs. I turned towards her and saw that she was pointing at me. Shit. I knew this would happen.

Everyone looked at me in terror as they saw vines growing around me. I wanted to hide away forever.

"WHATS HAPPENING?!" My brother called out from the crowd pushing past everyone. When he got to me... he pretend he didn't even know me. What? "Jackson... help me hide..." i cried out to him.

"No you're a monster and I don't know you." He shouted at me. I looked at him in confusion "but-of course you know me! I'm you're sister, I'm in you're blood-"

"NO YOU'RE A MONSTER. U KILED OUR MOTHER" he yelled.

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO! I'M SO SORRY! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!!" I screamed to his back as we walked away. Now the crowd of people disapeared and it was just him walking away.

When he was no longer in sight I was falling into a black pit of darkness. Vines wrapping around me as I sreamed.

I woke up crying. I barley get nightmares but it doesn't mean I dont get them at all.

I wiped my tears and sat up on my bed. Looking around my room. My room was cozy and nicely decorated because i spent most of my time here so why not make it pretty?

I heard my alarm ring with the song My Ordinary Life by: The Living Tombstone. I pressed snooze and got up from my bed. I have no shame in blasting that song full volume and screaming the lyrics. Of corse if I did that everyone in the house would be under my control and freeze, but eventually wake up when i stop. So I simply hum. Humming doesn't have the same effect as my singing. But everyone would feel sleepy which I don't get why only humming puts people to sleep.

Sometimes when Kitty can't fall asleep after watching a scary movie I'll hum to her from my room and she'll fall asleep quicker than a social media influencer could get cancelled

I can't believe today is the first day of high school! First day of going to ANY school at that.

My stomach ached at the thought that my nightmare would come true. But why was Jackson being so mean? I mean he was usually mean so I'm not surprised.

I checked the time and it was 7:12am. School started at 9:00pm and I had to be there at 8:30pm so Kitty could show me around and get my schedule. The teachers and the principle were told that I was home schooled and thats true. But they don't know about my powers obviously.

I stretched my arms up in the air getting cracks all around my body like a glowstick.

I played the rest of My Ordinary Life on Spotify to make me feel energetic. I never really sang but I did in my head so I was still having a great time. I danced around in my room until I heard a knock at my room door that was closed. I opened it to see Kitty with a huge smile on her face.

"ITS YOU'RE FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL!!!!" she exclaimed and I couldn't help but smile at her.

"Are you excited?"

I paused for moment thinking of an answer. "If I'm being honest I'm more terrified than excited... BUT I'M STILL SUPER EXCITED! I said with a big smile on my face
