Devina:

"Devina!"
"DEVINA! GET UP."
"I'm up, I'm up." Devina grumbles

"Time for your first day of Senior year sweetheart." Says Devina's father.

"Oh really? Huh. I didn't know that dad. Thanks for the information." Devina remarks sarcastically as she rubs her temple.

"Ooo, it smells good in here, what are you cooking for breakfast mom?" Devina's little brother asks.

"Xavier, I told you last night with the rest of the family what I was going to cook for breakfast this morning, I'd you weren't always on that dang phone you would've heard me." Devina's mother snaps while talking to her youngest child

"Honey, I know you've had a rough morning, but that does not give you the right to tell at the children dear." Devina's father says genuinely.

"I know, and I'm sorry Xavier for snapping at you. I love you, you little turd." She says as she ruffles his hair.

Xavier just laughs at this. "I love you too Mom. We all have those types of days." He says with a big smile.

"Devina, honey?" Her father says while looking at the towns newspaper in his hand.

"Yes Dad?" Devina replies as she snaps out of her little daze.

"Do you want me to drive you since your car is in the shop getting worked on?" He asks.

"Yes Dad. That would be greatly appreciated." She says while she turns around to go run up the stairs to her room to retrieve everything she needs for school.

As she looks around her room, she throws on a black and red flannel, some basic jeans and black converse's.

"I look...just like I do everyday." She says to herself with a laugh.

It was never her thing to try to impress people with her appearance.  She always wore whatever she thought looked good on her. No one really paid attention to her anyways, she always kept herself on the down low. Devina doesn't like being around people so everytime someone noticed her they would  see her with her nose stuck in a book.

Jasper on the other hand, was the complete opposite. He was always talking to someone, kissing Katrina or playing a sport. He loved being noticed, after all, he was one of the popular boys in school.

Katrina was also one of the popular kids. But she wasn't kind like Jasper and Devina, she has always been the stuck up one out of the three. But jasper never seemed to take notice of it because of his blinding love for her.

{Time skip to Devina entering the highschool}

"Hey Devina!" Jasper announced loudly. A few students even turned their heads towards him because of how loud he was, but he didn't seem to care.

"Hi Jas, what's up?" She replies with a smile.

"Oh nothing much kiddo, just thinking about how THIS IS OUR FIRST DAY OF SENIOR YEAR!" He yells

"Jasper, quiet down, you're going to attract attention to us." She glares

"Devina, I'm saying this as kindly as I can. I do not care." He says with a smirk

"Ughhh you're such an ass." She says as she smacks his shoulder as they walk to their first class.

"I may be an ass, but you love me." He says with a wink.

"You're lucky I do." She rolls her eyes playfully.
