It's always going to be her

Chapter 2

(I know chapter 1 was short but I'm going to try to make this one longer.)

{Time skip to lunch}

"So Jasper.." Devina says, obviously with a question on her mind.

"Yes Evi? What do you wanna ask?"

"How are you and Katrina? She's sitting over there at another table instead of with us like she usually does." Devina says, while looking at Jasper the whole time.

"Well Katrina and I have decided to take a break. We talked about it this morning when I was driving her to school." He says with a sad expression etched on his face

"I'm so sorry Jasper. You know, like I've said before, I don't think she's exactly good for you." Devina says in a comfortingly tone.

"Devina, like I've said multiple times before. I don't care what you or other people think about our relationship. Relationships have hardships! Its something that comes when you sign up for a relationship."

"But she's a-"

"Devina. Just fucking drop it." He says as he gets up while slamming his fist on the lunch room table.

"Jasper you're making a scene." Devina whispers

"I don't care! I'll do whatever I want. And you of all people can NOT stop me." He says while anger filled face.

Jasper gets up and storms out of the lunch room, leaving Devina there stuck in her thoughts, with everything that just happened.

Just as she finishes cleaning off her tray the bell rings. She hurries to class hopping to get to her next class. Which fortunately, Jasper also has.

"Jas!"

"Jasper, wait up." Devina says while out of breath.

"No Devina, I'm not in the mood to talk." He says with a huff

"Then walk me to our next class?" She says with pleading eyes.

"Fine. I'll walk with you to our next class." He says while giving into her pleading looks.

"Thank you Jas." She says with a big smile on her face.

"Evi?"

"Yes Jas?"

"I love you so much, you know that?"

Her heart skips a beat but she knows he just means it in a friendly way.

"I know. I love you too, to the moon and back." She says, meaning every word.

Whenever he told her he loved her she always thought about how it would sound to her if she was his girlfriend. Ever since that day they met in kindergarten she has had this big crush on him. It hasn't gone away since. But she knows he will never feel the same, so she carries on with her life, in hopes of finding someone that'll love her the same way she loves him or maybe..just maybe, one day he will realize he loves her the same way she loves him. But to her, she has always known it will never happen so she tries her hardest not to think of that "maybe."

{Half way into their class}

"Evi?"
"Eviiii? Hello?" Jasper says trying to get Devina's attention. But it's nothing surprising to him, she always gets lost in her own little world, no matter where she's at.

Fingers snapped in Devina's face, gathering her attention.

"And she's back." Jasper says with a laugh and a shake of his head.

"Shut up." She says as she shoves him lightly.

"Evi, I'm really sorry for snapping at you earlier in the lunch room. I wasn't thinking clearly and I just kinda snapped-"

"Jas, it's okay, really, I know you were upset and didn't mean anything by it."

"Oh thank God. I thought you were going to hate me because of it." He says with a soft chuckle.

"How could I ever stay mad at you." She says with a laugh.

Just as she finished her small laugh the bell rang so they both got up to get ready for their next class.

"Hey before we go to our next class, I wanted to ask if I could stay over tonight and tomorrow night?" Jasper says while looking at Devina, waiting for a response

"Of course you can Jas, me and my family love having you over." She said with a smile

Of course you do I'm awesome. Now come on, let me walk you to your next class M'lady." He says with a wink as he holds his arm out waiting for her to link hers with his.
