Along the rows of huts in the village, among them was a hut Ben had borrowed, with Amon's kind permission to. The hut was rather tiny, and it took a while for Jyn to find out how to tell the huts apart to find the one Ben stayed in.
' The tiles are different I guess, ' Ben shrugged.
' Not really they all look the same to me, ' said Jyn as she looked at the rowed huts in front of her.
' Ben! Jyn! ' a voice sounded behind the two. Ben and Jyn turned to see Isaac rushing towards them, with Hunter trotting behind him, and sitting on top was Zac. He had a very worried look on his face, and so did his father.
' Isaac, what's going on? ' Ben asked in a suddenly serious tone.
' There's a whole army by the border, they say they're Elliot's? I dunno you're the Leader; they said they need to see you. ' said Isaac. Zac leaped off Hunter and headed to join him.
' What army? '
' Elliot Army, ' said Isaac. ' Ben what is going on? '
' The only orders I left them was to stay in Elliot Village and protect it! '
' D-do you think Elliot Village is in danger? ' Jyn asked, her voice shaking with worry.
' Could be possible. Whatever I told them to do they always did it without question, and I told them to stay in Elliot Village, and they didn't. So something must have gone wrong. '
' Do we have to go back? ' Jyn asked, her voice trembling even more.
' I'll get the my army to split into two. This way one half will come with us just in case, while the other half stays. ' Isaac said as he whistled for his horse. A brown basic-looking quarterback horse galloped to his owner. Isaac mounted his horse and asked Ben to summon one of his soldiers' horse. Ben nodded and rushed off.
' Wait, you're leaving? ' Zac turned to Jyn. Jyn nodded slowly. She knew Zac didn't want her to leave, and she was also reluctant to, but Elliot Village was her home, hence her home is in danger and she isn't there to protect it.
' I'm sorry, Zac, ' she said softly. Zac looked dismayed. He sighed, but that's didn't mean he gave up, ' No, Jyn. You can't. It's not safe for you. '
' But I have to. Elliot Village in my home. I wasn't there when it needed me the most during the war against Asuss, and I'm not making that mistake again.
' Jyn... you really don't have to. Dormont Village was attacked and even though its people were there to help, it was left in ruins. '
' And that's why I need to go back. I don't want another village end up in the same state. If your loved ones were danger, you would've understood! ' Jyn raised her voice a bit. She didn't like the way she was talking to Zac, not even a bit, but she couldn't help it.
' I do understand, ' said Zac, his voice still calm but desperate, ' I lost my mother. She died giving birth to me. She was the first thing I saw; and that first time was the last time I saw her. I could never forgive myself. I've always wanted to repay this, but I never got the chance... '
' But I thought your mother— '
' Sometimes people can't tell the truth, but that's because they can't bare it. ' Zac said. ' Please Jyn. Don't go, not now. '
Jyn didn't like this. Without a word she ran off and leaped onto Axel, following Ben and Isaac into the forest, vanishing out of Zac's sight. Zac watched as the faint figures disappeared and sighed. Hunter trotted over and nudged him, whimpering with worry.
' I know, Hunter. I'm worried for her too. ' he said as he looked into the depths of the forest. He exhaled sharply. Making a final decision, he leaped onto Hunter and urged him towards the forest, through the gates of Fort Village, past the border and into the wild.
' Hurry! ' Ben yelled at the Army as they followed. Half of Fort Army followed Isaac, who was going beside Ben. The two armies raced as the phoenix soared above them. Jyn looked down, hoping to see Elliot at any moment. Other than that, she was crying. Not because there was a, high chance that Elliot Village was in danger, but because of how she treated Zac. The ways he spoke to him, she regretted it. Yet Zac spoke in a calm tone, desperately trying to protect her, to keep her away from danger. But then again, if Jyn is only keeping herself from danger, what about Elliot Village? What about the world? If the world turns to the wrong path, it's all on Jyn. Her job is to protect, to keep the world safe and out of the hands of destruction, to be the Chosen Phoenix. But then once again, she would have spoken to Zac a little nicer than she did. But there was no time to think about Zac, not now.
Axel glided down effortlessly and landed by Elliot borderline. Jyn inhaled and exhaled sharply, dismounting as she took one step forward. Just another step and she had returned to Elliot territory.
Meanwhile Zac was continuously urging Hunter down the plains, past the mountains, over the rivers. He had never gone this far, but he did. He had to. He was too worried for Jyn.
' Come on, boy! ' he urged. Hunter was also being shared his feelings, for he was panting like madness. But despite this, he urged his paws to go faster than ever before halting before the borders of Elliot. Panting, Hunter licked Zac as he dismounted. Zac patted him gratefully on the side before stepping through the open gates over the borderline.
