Mrs Yang nodded unhappily, only able to agree to her daughter’s request.

When the three of them left the house, the old grandma that stayed in the opposite apartment happened to be going out to get some groceries too. With that said, Grandma Lin was about to grab Yang Shan’s hand. Tang Xiaoxiao smiled brightly and nodded at this Grandma Lin. She took a step forward warmly and grabbed Grandma Lin’s arm in return to support her. She smiled sincerely and openly as she said, “Hello, Grandma Lin. I’m Tang Xiaoxiao, Shanshan’s good friend and her manager.”

Seeing that this little girl was so approachable despite her vixen-like appearance, Grandma Lin’s mood was instantly lifted. Her gaze on Tang Xiaoxiao changed a little as well.

The term ‘manager’ seemed to stab at Mrs Yang’s weak nerves as she sent an unhappy glare at Tang Xiaoxiao before she smiled at the old woman in a perfunctory manner. “Grandma Lin, I’m bringing Shanshan to go buy some clothes, so we’ll excuse ourselves first.”

With that said, both Mrs Yang and her daughter held their heads up high and walked into the elevator arrogantly. Tang Xiaoxiao was the only one who sent an apologetic gaze to Grandma Lin. “Grandma Lin, goodbye. I’ll chat with you properly another day.”

The elevator doors closely slowly and Grandma Lin’s expression fell before she spat at the doors. She scolded softly, “Who do you think you are? With just your daughter’s appearance, if you weren’t lucky, can she even become a celebrity?”

Right at that moment, the door to her apartment opened and a handsome figure cast a slanted shadow through the small gap between the door. His voice was slightly helpless as he said, “Grandma, please go home with Grandpa. If you continue to stay at such a place, no one can take care of you if you fall sick…”

The three of them walked around the first floor and looked at most of the brands before Mrs Yang finally picked a red checkered dress. She glanced at its price. It was about five hundred dollars, so its price was not too bad. It was only after that that she glanced towards Yang Shan. “Shanshan, what about this? Do you like it?”

Yang Shan furrowed her eyebrows. “Mom, I don’t want this outfit. It’s horrendous. Besides, I’ve never even heard of this brand before!”

In the face of her daughter’s haughtiness, Mrs Yang was a little angered. “If you don’t want it, then so be it! If you want to wear something branded, there’s an Adidas outfit at home. That brand is famous!”

“What? Mom, how you can lie to me! That Adidas at home is just a counterfeit.”

Staring at the number of zeros at the back of the price tag for these clothes, Mrs Yang’s small heart kept trembling as she couldn’t help but grab her purse tighter.

When they went up to the fourth floor, the luxurious but elegant and classic interior in every shop made the mother and daughter completely speechless as they looked around. Every time they saw the expensive price tag on an outfit, both of them couldn’t help but whisper amongst themselves. Their envious and impressed expressions attracted disdainful looks from the service staff around them.

“Shanshan, come and take a look. This outfit is pretty good.” Tang Xiaoxiao, who had walked ahead of them, waved her head and pointed at an aquamarine gown. “It’s a refreshing color and suits your skin tone very well. The belt that tightens around the waist stands out the most for this outfit. It’s refreshing and classic, but not loud. It should suit you very well.”

A female service staff walked over, although her gaze was placed on Tang Xiaoxiao. She said with a smile, “Miss, your taste is very good. This outfit is this Spring’s new piece from the Duno brand. The brand targets a teenage girl’s pureness, freshness and classic elegance. This aquamarine color, especially, suits this lady’s skin tone very well.”
