I wrote this the other day, I'm not a streamer myself, but I have 3 friends that are streamers. One of them confirmed this was true when I showed it to them too.

Stream later, but don't look at the viewer count. The number will only upset you.
Why? I'm not sure, probably some psychological thing, my mentality isn't right. This won't change, I constantly feel the need to check the insignificant number right there on the dashboard. I know I can cover or hide it, but it wouldn't last long. It's just a number, why does it discourage me so much? It's just a number, why does it define how talented I am? It's just a number, why does it control me? It's just a number, why does it define how likeable I am? Truth is, it doesn't, but I act like it does. Truly pathetic, I know, but it's hard when you rely on this number to keep you motivated and keep going. Quitting has crossed my mind more than I would like to admit, because of this stupid number. Time to stream and stress about if I'm talking enough, if my jokes re landing, and if I have enough viewers.

I wrote this to bring awareness to the hate a lot of streamers get. They put themselves out there, and deserve support in return, not hate. It isn't right that people go out of their way to hate on them. They are very hard on themselves and it can be draining to stream often, keep this in mind if you are going to send hate to a streamer, or content creator for that matter.

General FictionYeah so I'm just a logophile who likes writing. I write but I don't have any idea for a book so here we are! This will just be a bunch of stuff I've written and I'll put context if it's needed. I hope you enjoy!
