The rest of the day was awkward. The silent stares in the hallway sent bone cracking chills up my spine.
At home Trinity sat on her little bed in the corner, and I sat on mine. Trinity was playing with a bunny toy while I researched my family history on the web.

"Whatcha' doing?" Asked Trinity

"Oh, just looking up some things." I replied

"Like what?"

"Well, you know how people were acting funny today?"

"Yeah"

"Well, I'm looking up my family history to see if there is anything there. Or if it was just a coincidence."

"Oh"

Trinity hovered over to where I was and sat on my bed next to me.

"Do you know what your parents names were?" I asked

"Not really. I turned into a ghost when I was a baby. I was too young to know them. I was always with your dad." She replied

"Oh yeah."

"Maybe your dad just called me by that name because I was an orphan or something?"

"Maybe."

I clicked on my fathers last name and three other names showed up. David Lee Chancaster, Trinity Anne Chancaster, Brianna May Chancaster.

"Trinity, your name is here." I gasped

"Where?" She asked

I pointed at the screen where her name was listed right before mine. I clicked on her name and a digital file came open.

Name: Trinity Anne Chancaster
Birth year: 2000
Age up to date: 19
Years: 2000-2001
Cause of death: Trinity was born with a brain defect. It caused her moods to escilate and fall at strange, and traumendous rates. We knew she wouldn't make it long but we didn't know how or when she would leave. The only one who dared to come close to her was her father, Darell Lee Chancaster. Her mother, suffering from problems of the birth was unable to see her child, and shortly after passed. The child soon after on May 31st, 2001 suffered a terrible death.
Dr. Manning Regnolds

"So this means..." I paused collecting my thoughts "We are; sisters?"

Trinity finished reading the screen and looked back at me.

"But you have a mother, and it says here that my mother passed after I was born." She replied

"Yes, but it shows that we have the same father." I pointed once more at the screen

A smile grew on Trinity's face as she gave my a big hug.
"We're sisters!" She screamed happily

I was happy that we figured it out, but how would we tell my mother? Trinity and I decided to keep it a secret, for a while at least. We would have to tell the principal though.
The next morning, before school started, Trinity and I headed to the principals office to deliver the news.

"What can I do for you girls?" Asked Mrs. Ventelli as we walked into her office

She wore a baige suit with a black shirt underneath. Her black hair pulled back into a perfects bun in the back of her head. Her dark skin glowed in the lighting of the room.

"Well, as you know Trinity is new in this school, and we would just like to fill you in on some minor details. For personal reference, and so that there is no confusion. Of course." I replied sitting down in a chair across from her desk

"Sure." Mrs. Ventelli smiled as Trinity sat in the chair next to me "What would you like to bring to my attention?"

"Well, for starters; Trinity and I share the same last name. We are half sisters, on out fathers side. Also that Trinity is a little different. You see; when she was born there were a few problems that occurred. Her doctor became overwhelmed in the stress and became a bit delussional. He wrote in an article that Trinity had died as an infant. She was then sent to an adoption agency without any records of who she was." I told her, with a lighter tone

"I see. So you would like to keep this confidential?" She asked

"Yes, if possible."

"Alright. So, she is your half sister who you just reunited with recently, and her history before then is classified."

"Yes, please."

"Very well." Mrs. Ventelli smiled "It is nice to know that Trinity has found her way back to her family."

Trinity smiled and nodded ever so slightly.

"You two girls have a nice day then." Mrs. Ventelli smiled again and gestured towards the door.

She was never really one for emotional things. She always kept things sweet and simple.

Trinity and I had a good rest of the week at school. My mom got to know her a lot better, but we still kept our relations a secret. But things started feeling a bit strange when the next week rolled around.
