Sydney's POV:

Obnoxious. That's the word I use to describe the repulsive bus ride I am currently sitting on. Look here's the deal, there are 3 of us in our friendship group and you know what that means someone is always left out. So my two best friends Fiona, Bella and I decided the best compromise would be to draw our names out of a hat and one lucky person would end up on their own with you'll never guess who?

Suzie.

I'm not one to bully but let me tell you this girl, Suzie Richards is the literal definition of an annoying, unpleasant, asshole. Now it's not what she does do, it's what she doesn't do. The child literally does not speak. She's mute. I have been to every single one of her birthday parties, which may I add, I was forced to look at her sisters toes even though she has not said a single word to me.

Now this is where the problem arises. Just imagine being stuck in a cabin with her. Two long nights where your only company is a brick wall.

My heart sinking into my chest as my friend unraveled the piece of paper and there sat Fiona's name.

Hah!

Not me!

F U Suzie!

But now I'm sitting on the bus ride alone because I promised Fiona she could have Bella for the bus rides considering she was literally going to be on her own. Yes Suzie Richards does not count as a singular being.

My gaze shifted from the view outside the window to over my left shoulder where I watched Bella and Fiona laughing away as I twiddled with my two thumbs.

Fiona Clarke, she had always been my closest friend. We practically grew up together, meeting each other at a measly 5 years old and moving to the same high school as we had grown apart. Something to do with her buying everyone icy poles but myself, I took that one to heart. But our friendship rekindled when we were in the 9th grade together, stuck in class with no one we knew but each other. This seemed rough at the time but the awkwardness grew into long sleepless nights as we sat on the couch with a bowel of popcorn watching the latest netflix release, speaking shit about every single person in our year level. The verbal burn book I call it.

And then there's Bella Lukich. Look our relationship was weird. I kind of bullied her but then also only told her my most recent crushes while she kept every single secret she had as far away as she could from me. Yet our usual bonding sessions were done whilst playing a knock off Fortnite battle royale on microsoft Minecraft and I think that speaks levels in itself.

And as Fiona constantly fed the words into my ear I noticed how loud and disgusting the boys on this bus ride were. I swear one of them put Eminem's Rap God on, screaming every word. The constant yelling, shouting and sexual innuendos protruding from the back of the bus. Please just give me a break.

"give me a piece of that chocolate cake"

And I can tell whose voice that belonged too, Lucas Dove, like how disgusting can you be.

Ew.

And it doesn't help that there is a chorus of laughter that follows by every single one of those idiots. Like seriously I can smell your cologne from here.

And I couldn't tell you how excited I was to get off that awfully smelling bus and onto the floor of a "Jesus camp" that my school was about to make me endure for the next three days. But hey at least I'm not stuck with Suzie.

So look half the day was gone by the time we left and Bella and I sorted out our cabin. We argued for a solid 30 minutes on who got the bed closest to the door. In which I won. Yeah Bella's a pushover.
