Chapter 4

Arianna's POV~

That day of work in the restaurant passed by quickly.

Everything went by smoothly, but I knew Zayn was watching me. He was making sure I was safe, after what happened last night.

"I'll drive you home." Zayn whispered to me after work.

I grabbed my bag and pulled off the tag that was pinned on my T-shirt that informed customers my name.

"Fine." I sighed. I'd let him tonight, to make him feel better.

I walked out of the restaurant, and the cold breeze blew my hair into my face. I felt a huge coat swung over me.

"You're gonna get a cold." he said.

I turned my head to look at Zayn, who looked at me with his worried eyes.

"Thanks." I whispered, pulling the heavy jacket closer.

.-.-.-.-.-.

"Here." I pulled the coat off and handed it to him.

We were sat in the car that had arrived at my apartment.

"Can I come in?" he grabbed his jacket and threw it to the back seat.

My eyes widened. I suddenly remembered the boy that was now living inside.

Zayn would never approve of me living with a stranger.

"No, no! I'll be fine, thanks!" I quickly jumped out of the vehicle before meeting Zayn's eyes.

I heard his engine roar as he drove away behind me. I looked back, making sure he was gone.

.-.-.-.-.-.

I opened the door and walked inside.

Niall was the first thing I saw as I walked in. He was sprawled out on the sofa, sleeping.

His arms were folded on top of his chest as he slept.

The TV was flickering. He was watching "Friends". I really loved that show.

I tried to gently shut the door, but the wind outside didn't agree with me as it made the door slam loudly. I squeezed my eyes and bit my bottom lip at the loud sound, failing not to wake up the boy.

He palmed his hand over his mouth as he yawned, quickly sitting up when he saw me.

"Welcome back." he said silently.

"Are you hungry? I brought leftovers from the restaurant." I showed him the bag that I held in my right hand.

A big smile climbed his face.

"Yeah, actually I'm starving!" he quickly leaned over and grabbed the bag out of my hands as I gave it to him.

I giggled as he took out the box of food. He didn't seem to waste a second as he opened it.

"Sorry. I'm just really hungry." he chuckled.

"You're fine. Just enjoy it." I grinned.

I sat back on the chair beside the sofa and slugged down. I was so exhausted.

I stared at the TV that was showing commercials.

Niall chewed loudly, chomping the food down his throat.

I turned my head over to look at him.

"If you eat too fast your food won't digest right." I warned him.
