8: A new beginning

We arrived the manhattan beach. I really didn't knew why I was there.
"Clare...I'm going for swimming you wanna come?" Valarie was already dressed up in her swimming suit.
"I don't have a swimming suit" I shouted from a distance.
"there is a spare one in my bag put it on"
I took the clothe and went for changing. My curves and thick thin body was looking amazing in that. Not flattering myself but my mother was always insecure for me that neighbor's kids used to stare me widening their eyes.
I went into the water and I saw Henry coming wearing only Speedo. I'm not sure if I had started drooling over his abs.
"Come on girl don't watch me like you're seeing a handsome guy for the first time"
"really you think that? your speedo are too awful"
"why are you looking at that then huh?"
"Oh come on Henry get over yourself"
suddenly a wave stoke me and I landed in Henry's arms. To be honest I was starting having a crush on him and I think he knew that. After an intense eye contact, I said
"come on Henry don't watch me like you are seeing a beautiful girl for the first time"
"I saved your life you know? If I haven't catched you, you would have landed in that guy's arms. At least be thankful to the wave for the place you are in" he pointed to a nerd guy behind him.
"okay, thank you wave you gave Henry a chance to hold me"
"you're never gonna accept that you like me"
"do you?" at that point valarie came and stood beside us waiting for Henry to answer my question while I was still in his arms ignoring her completely.
"To be honest, the very first time I saw you, I wanted you to be mine and I sat beside you so that I could kiss you but that jerk Raheem ruined everything"
"You know what? I sat beside you intentionally. I had a crush on you when I saw you"
He hold my cheeks in his hand while his another hand on my waist and leaned in to kiss me.
I put one hand behind his head and one on his shoulder. We were about to kiss that valarie spoke up.
"Okay okay, before you two start making out in front of me and make me feel awkward, I'm gonna go and change. Come fast I'm hungry"
she left and we kissed. that was very intense and continued for about 3 minutes straight. When it was over I couldn't even think of a word to speak. Although he was my senior, every girl in college, junior or senior, wanted to spend a night with him.
He put his hand on my back "Let's go to eat. we'll be late" I nodded.
We went to the rest room for changing. Henry has booked two rooms for a night one for me and valarie, and one for him, but i think now the places will be swapped between him and valarie.

We changed and met at the dining hall for dinner.
"Alright now, tell me everything. Are you two official now?" Valarie broke the awkward silence.
even I didn't knew the answer for that. What if Henry is not serious? Does he really love me? I looked at Henry for an answer.
"yeah...I mean I like her and if she likes me we are official." somewhere I was relieved.
"I like you too Henry"
Valarie clapped with happiness. I like how she is happy in other's happiness.

Tomorrow we had to leave and I'll be having a very tiring day as after college, I need to go to the pearl's collection.
I could barely sleep as Henry was roaming all around my head. I had been changing sides since half an hour finally Valarie spoke.
"don't mind Clarice, I know what is going in your head but can you please sleep and let sleep?"
"Yeah"
I didn't knew when I slept.
suddenly my phone buzzed. I opened the lock screen and it was text message from Henry.
~Can you come in my room?~
'why?'
~I can't sleep. you know I'm going to drive tomorrow morning and how important sleep is for me~
'Why are you telling me this?'
~cuz this is all because of you. I can't get you out of my head now please come~
'alright, coming'

Somewhere I was happy knowing he is thinking about me but I don't want to do lose my virginity with a man whome I've just started dating some hours ago.
I stepped out of my room, closed it quietly and went for Henry's room.
The door was already half opened. I pushed it and boom!
His room was beautifully decorated.
"surprise Clare"
"What is this Henry...you didn't have to do this"
"Of course I had to. I bought you here just because I wanted to spend some time with you. I haven't thought that this will go this far. I love you Clarice Young"
I was having a mixed feeling. I knew he was a fuck boy but I was happy that he proposed me.
"I love you too Henry"
We spent the night watching netflix and talking about college. I didn't even knew when I fell asleep on him.

"hey Clarice wake up we have our college"
I woke up rubbing my eyes. they were all puffed as I haven't really slept all night.
"Oh god can't we miss our class today?"
''yeah nice idea...but no. You have to go for your first day of job and make a first impression. Don't forget she is Valarie's mother after all" said Henry.
I laughed at this. Mrs Pearl seemed a nice woman but she is Valarie's mother and I'm sure Valarie got her genes of arrogance.
We went off for the college and I've probably slept the whole way.
