Slayers

Part one

The Moon was high in the cloudless sky, the stars could be seen up in the complete dark blue and the only light was the moonlight which glimmered through the large treetops down to the plant-covered turf which was the only thing that helped Kunamason or as her friends like to just call her, Kuna, See and her squad move throughout the forest. Her long blue hair flowed behind her as she swiftly ran top speed down on the forest floor through the branches and weeds, her large dual daggers gripped tightly in her hands as she hurried, the mask the covered half her face which only left her eyes to be shown just like the other 2 girls in her small squad, yet her smell was one of the best once they came closer to the smell of a strong iron aroma indicating that blood was near and what they were searching for was close by. Okina to her side running and jumping from branch to branch in the trees, her purple pigtails bounced around each time she did basically following her blue-haired friend the whole time even though she had the high point and was gonna be the first one to spot it, in her hand was her large two-bladed scythe yet both blades where on the same side. Last but not least, Miko, she basically blended in with the darkness and shadows as she followed closely behind them all and using her incredible hearing which she used to hear for anything or anyone that could be near or pursuing them on their mission, She held a stainless steel Katana in her hand with small throwing knives tucked secretly in her clothes for safekeeping and if she had to be stealthy in any way, they would be quite useful. 

The sounds of groaning and growling were only getting closer, the blood path became stronger which lead to a large clearing that was lit up greatly from the moon and they all stopped before and hid in the many branches and leaves that could be used for covering. The demon's mouth and body covered in the blood of the family that was camping in that very forest that had gone the day before in which a demon sighting was reported was in that clearing at this very moment and the three had finally found it. The bodies of the four members' family, two children, mother, and father all dead and mulled to pieces of just half-eaten flesh and bones. The girls Looking at each other In which they extended a small nod for confirmation and they knew exactly what they needed to do, they couldn't save the family at this point but they could do something about the demon and making sure it didn't attack anymore and take any more innocent lives, that was now their main goal. Kuna was the first one to make a move, sprinting from the bush and took a quick slash at the beast which causes it to jump back and let out a large growl-filled scream before it lunged back at the girl, it wasn't going out without a fight. Its large claws came down at her but she managed to jump up, flip onto its back, and use all her strength in both of her legs and momentum from her jump to kick it, launching it into a tree headfirst. Okina jumped down from one of them, landing down on it and digging the sharp base of her scythe down into its back while watching it claw and squirm at the ground screaming in immense pain. It was one of the lower levels demons which didn't take a lot to pin down and kill to experienced slayers like themselves. It was now Miko’s job to finish it, as swiftly as she was hidden, she quickly came in with a strong swish of her blade killing the demon by cutting off its head and watching it turn into ashes in which the scythe was unlodged from inside of it leaving it covered in blood. Now that they were finished and completed their mission, all they had to do was report to the other family members of that now-dead family and hope it gives them some type of peace before heading back to their base for school the next day.
