Since the wedding was approaching quickly, I agreed to go shopping for a bridesmaid dress with Xavier.

Selina wanted to take me herself, but an important meeting came up, and she asked Xavier to take me instead, to which he agreed. I was a bit nervous, but not as much as I was yesterday upon entering the mansion. This time, I was actually somewhat familiar with the man, so I felt more at ease compared to yesterday when he was a complete stranger.

I was currently in a sleek black Porsche, looking out the window as we drove past the streets. I've never been in such an expensive car, and to think that someday this would be a norm for me. I wondered if I'll ever actually get truly used to such a lavish life.

"We're here."

Xavier's deep and raspy voice calmly interrupted my train of thoughts. I glanced around, noting we were in an underground parking. I unbuckled myself and was about to reach for the handle when Xavier opened it for me. I looked up at him, seeing him standing in front of me with an outstretched hand.

I take his bigger hand and help myself out of the vehicle. He closed the door behind me and locked the car, he offered to carry my handbag too, but I politely declined.

What a gentleman...

We enter the mall and head to a few stores. Xavier told me that the wedding was going to be a mix of traditional Japanese and Western, Selina wanted me as the bridesmaid, so I was trying to find something that would flatter her bride's outfit, which I believe is going to be a white kimono.

Throughout shopping, I noticed that he was always a gentleman - holding doors open for me, helping me put on clothes, zipping me up, etc. For some reason, I wasn't expecting him to be like this. It was charming in its own way, and I was pleased to know he doesn't dislike me.

Time went by, and we had been shopping for 3 hours. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that really suited the occasion. Xavier reassured me that it was all alright and that we could go shopping another time at another place.

After hours of shopping, I was famished, and so was Xavier. He told me that he knew a good restaurant where we could have our late lunch.

He took me to a restaurant that resided on one of the higher floors of the building, indicating that it was more high-end than your usual restaurant.

Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately noticed the modern classiness of the interior design. The walls were a dark greyish tone, giving the place a somewhat industrial look with its darker tones and smooth surfaces. On one of the further walls, which was black, came down a soft waterfall. There were some decorative plants here and there, giving some greenery to the view.

Once Xavier got the approval to enter and reserve a table, he thanked the receptionist. He placed his hand on the small of my back and gently guided me to a black circular table near the long glass wall.

"I thought you might like the view. But if you want, we can sit somewhere else."

I marveled at the high city view outside the window. "Oh, no no...this is great..." I mumbled, sitting down at the table as I kept glancing out of the window. Xavier nodded and sat across from me.

After a few minutes, a waitress dressed in a white and black uniform came and gave us two smooth leather menus.

"One of the chefs here is actually an acquaintance of mine, I'm sure he'd be glad to find out about you." Said Xavier while opening the menu.
