Death is a friend I meet at night,
Telling me to stick around.
He tells me to hold on,
When the answers can't be found.
He tells me that it's not my time,
That I have so long to go.
So when the world is cruel,
And people's words feel like stones,
Death tells me that I'm okay,
I'm so much stronger then I know.
So when I seem alone,
And the world casts me away,
When what makes me happy is spat upon,
And I can't see an end,
Just know that Death is comforting me,
And keeping me around.
I hold my head high,
And make Death proud,
Before I take my place six feet down.
