Auntie's Words

Pree was cooking his dinner, he went to the fridge to grab a sauce bottle, to his dismay there were no sauce or milk. He sighed and started chopping some vegetables, he was in deep thoughts and, "arrrrgghhh", he screamed, " shit", he cursed as he cut his own finger with the knife. He brought his finger to his mouth in jiffy and sucked. The wound was a deep cut and he went to the nearby pharmacy to buy some medicine and antiseptics.

"Hey Auntie Qin, long time", greeted Pree with a broad smile.

"Hi Pree, how're you dear", greeted Qin. Qin and her husband Zuo owned the pharmacy.

"All good Auntie, where is uncle", asked Pree. "ha that Oldman left me and my daughter here, he is visiting his parents in Vietnam", said Qin. Qin and Zuo were from Vietnam and settled in Thailand.

Pree chuckled on the 'Oldman' word. "So how can I help you", asked Qin. Pree showed his hand to her and said, "for this auntie I need some medicines".

"Oh it seems to be a deep cut come here dear let me help you", said Qin coming out the counter. She called her daughter to look after the counter. "Hello P'Jeed", Pree greeted her. 

"m good hope you and your brother are doing good", said Jeed. "all good", said Pree and walked after Qin.

At corner of the store, Qin pulled out two chairs. Qin and Pree sat and the elder started treating the younger's hand. "How did this happen" asked Qin. "I was cutting vegetables" ,said Pree.

"Looks like you were in deep thoughts, or were you thinking about someone deeply", said Qin teasing Pree. Pree chuckled. "Have you found someone?", asked Qin with a concerned face. "Not yet auntie", said Pree.

"Auntie can I ask you something?", asked Pree while Qin was still treating him. "Yes.. ", replied Qin. "What do you think about love", asked Pree.

Qin narrowed  her eyes and said, " I can sense that someone is lurking in your mind", and Pree chuckled and blushed. Qin noticed that and said, "Aww  look at my son he is blushing",.

As Qin knew about Pree's toxic ex girlfriend who caused him to fall into severe anxiety. She came to know about his anxiety when he went to her pharmacy to buy medicines for anxiety. From that day on she cared for him as her own.

 On the other hand Pree also felt comfortable with her and shared his problems with her and that's how she came to know about his toxic relationship with his ex girlfriend. Pree had also helped her in settling loans in the past and helped her in developing her business.

"Auntie don't tease me", pouted Pree. Qin pinched his cheeks and said, "Oh... Really". "Okay Auntie tell me... ", said Pree.

Qin cleared her throat, "There various relationships 'cause not all people follow the same way to express their love, but always remember sometimes we keep searching for gold while ignoring the diamond near us", said Qin.

"huh so you are telling me the the person coming after me is more precious than the person I'm going after", asked Pree.

Qin chuckled and patted Pree's head and she was done dressing his hand and continued, "My smart son, Our gold might be diamond for some, for some people it'll be silver.

Their diamond might be silver for us, for some it might be gold. 

On the other hand, we might diamond to some  and gold to some other..

Not all people are same, we might sometimes think that a particular person would be suitable for us and keep pursuing them but at the end they may or may not be suitable. If they are suitable then well and good, if not the relationship collapses.
