"Aurora, you don't have to do this" my father pleaded I sighed "father, I'm doing this for our pack, for our honor, and for...." I trailed off "for your mother" my father finished for me, I nodded. "Father, I can avenge our packs, our fallen, mother, everyone that died that day, every den that was destroyed" he smiled "then who am I to stop you" I threw my hood of my cloak "your just like her you know" I stopped, letting the door handle slide out of my hand "your mother would go on and on about avenging the packs too" he paused "then she fell protecting you" I sighed "that's what alphas do. We die for our packs, and for our pups" I said running out into the full moon. Their kingdom was close to the last standing den, our den, and they often left their windows open, perfect for climbing in and for assassinating whoever was inside. Scaling the walls was easy and scaring the prince even easier. I laughed as he jumped at the thud behind him.
"W-What are you doing h-here" he backed into the wall as I stepped closer.
"Aww, are you scared"
"I-I" his eyes filled with tears
"You're not much of a lion are you?" I chuckled lightly "more like a cat"
He breathed quickly, panicking with every breath "please don't hurt me, I-I don't know what I did" the tears rolled down his face
"Oh, it's pretty simple what you did" I pulled out my blade and let it smoothly touch his cheek being careful not to cut into his skin "your kingdom killed my mother, yet without a prince it'll fall like mine did without an alpha. You killed half my pack, the ones that survived were forced to go to an enemy pack to survive, yet your guards destroyed their dens" I slowly made a small scarlet line in his cheek with the knife. "Please" he pleaded "don't kill me"
"Fine, I won't kill you but" I smirked and grabbed his collar and pulled him closer so we were only an inch away from each other "I am going to scar you" I brought my knife to his chest and ripped through his shirt and skin leaving a thin, crimson line down to his stomach. He whimpered and turned his head away from me, I chuckled lightly and pulled my knife away "you really make it easy to kill you" he gulped and looked back at me, I let go of his collar and watched him fall to the ground, I kneeled down to be at eye level with him "don't come begging to me again" and with that I walked out of his room and scaled down the side of his castle. The glow from the full moon shined over me as I ran towards my house, leaving no sign, besides the scarred prince, that I was ever there.
