"K-Kiara.. What?""Y-Yeah.. I'm sorry.." Kiara's voice was very obviously breaking. I had to keep it together as to not hurt Kiara worse.
"But, you can't leave.. You're my girlfriend.. I'll have n-nobody else.." I was now starting to break down over the phone. Was she really just going to leave me like this, over a phone call?
"Clay.. This isn't right for us. It's not for me, nor you. We both know this. You start to many fights with me, and we're always down each other throats anyways. I-It will be much better for the both of us. We will be happier in the end. Clay, don't you want me to be happy? Let me go, Clay. If you love me, you would.."
"I- I'm- Kiara.. Is there somebody else?"
"Clay.. I don't want to talk about it. Just let me go."
I was now bawling my eyes out.
"It was for Karl, isn't it?"
"I'm sorry, Clay. I have to go, I love you."
"L-Love you too, Kiara. Bye."
Kiara hung up on me.
"She left me for fucking Karl."
I dialed Nick's number. He'd been with multiple girls before, he would know what to do, and how to get over it. Surely he's had a girl cheat on him. Or leave him for somebody else, right?
"Nick! I'm so happy you answered." I sniffled while saying the sentence, but Nick didn't seem to notice.
"Hey, what do you need, kid."
"You busy?"
"I have a girl over, why?"
"You able to hear me vent right now?"
"No."
"Alright, call me later I guess."
Nick hung up.
The last person on my phone was George's number. I didn't want to talk to him, but at the end of the day, he was the last person I could talk to.
And one that knew about Kiara and me anyway.
I thought it would be smart to eat something, I haven't eaten in days, and I was getting so slim. I liked the way my body looked though. So I stayed siting down.
Nobody even noticed how slim I was getting, and if I had to guess, they probably liked the way I looked now. Sure, it wasn't good for me, nor was it healthy, but it made my self confidence rise, and that's all I wanted. Especially if I wanted to win Kiara's heart back.
Then, the world went dark.
Night was falling.
I loved and hated the night. I got to be alone, but it was scary.
My stomach was rumbling. I was so hungry. I was going to need to eat a tiny bit to live, but for now, I'm going to bed so I don't have to worry about eating until morning.
1:23 am.
"What the fuck." I mumbled.
I grabbed my phone off the dresser. It was buzzing a bunch.
I read the latest message from Nick, which was sent at 1:22. It said,
"Yo dude- You gotta answer me bro. Kiara is at my door trying to date me- I need help."
I typed back.
"What??!"
"You heard me. Drive here fast."
