"Lieutenant Lawrence on the line. I apologize for the evening disturbance Mr. President. But I have a status report that's urgent." Lt. Lawrence said from the other line. I took a smoke from my cigar. I know that I won't hear the end of this report.
"You can speak, Lieutenant." I answered.
"A combat between my men and the infected happened hours ago. I'm afraid that I can't risk the lives of what's left of my team." He answered. "CCRC and LAPRS had 40 soldiers and two lieutenants that went into the root cause of this mess and only a lieutenant and 16 soldiers came back. There were mutated reanimated corpses in the building when we pushed in. Four of the remaining soldiers stayed back to watch the activities outside the hospital. More firepower and defense for my men would be recommended considering the amount of power and danger these creatures hold, Mr. President."
"I am sending 45 soldiers and care packages your way, Lieutenant. Let's not lose hope yet." I answered.
"I'll see to it and send them before 25th.""Thank you, Mr. President. Will be holding them off for two days. Lawrence out." The call ended and I called my secretary.
I will rebuild that city. If it's the last thing that I'll do.
