The sheath of the sword roaring in the air. Everything moving in slow motion. The way scarlet hue starts escalating on his chest, tinting his shirt. The way his body languidly fall to the ground. The way his opponent blares in victory. The way her eyes starting to haze. The way she rushes to reach him but still delinquent.
"No!!! Noooo!!! Moon GangTae!!!!"
He turns his head, caught in his eyes the woman he loves cascades towards him. Tears fluxing from her orbs, floating in the air.
"Gwenchana... MoonYoung-ah..." He slams the ground, everything goes dark, her voice calling him faintly.
Humans. Nothing ever changes. It's been centuries but their nature never fluctuates. Still swarming into the lights like moths flock over the fire. She sometimes feels sad, they have to work hard in their short lives. Believing that they're in the highest rank of the food chain. Like she used to. Hundreds of years ago.
"MoonYoung-nim... We got a sight of him at the subway station." Park BanRyu calling her over the earpiece.
"I'm on my way..." She jumps to the roof of the next building, and the next until she reaches her destinations, does the final jump from over 30 stories building and lands swimmingly in the dark near the subway entrance. Her war boots trotting on the concrete.
She enters the subway station at lightning speed. No one's around. Well it's 02.00 am. Stepping without a sound, her eyes collide with BanRyu, who waits for her across the rail track. He nods. She turns her head, sees a man, about a hundred meters away, garbs in jacket, hoodie and a pair of jeans, all in black, like the color she's wearing.
There he is, the man they've been hunting for over a decade. A mere human but so hard to apprehends, for he seldom moving in the night. This is the chance they've been waiting for. He's sitting on the bench, closing his eyes, waiting for a subway? How rare. What makes him so reckless while all she knows he's been doing so adept in hiding all these years.
Right at the moment a man in a black suit approaching him, tries to pat his shoulder. She caught the emblem on the man's ring, black devil's wings.
"Fuck!" She curses, grasps her gun from her back waist, clicks the safety pin, aims at the man in a suit and begins to shoot.
A bullseye to the head.
The man sitting on the bench affright, covers his ears with his hands for a split second but migrates swiftly to hide behind the pillar.
She clicks her tongue, for more men with black suits gather, coming out from their disguise. BanRyu jumps over the rail track, shooting a couple of their adversaries. She's bombarding them, while dashing towards the man who's just hiding.
"MoonYoung-nim, the subway's coming, hurry!" BanRyu yells at her to pace faster, as she is to get to the guy they've been hunting.
One of the black suit man lands in front of her, throwing a punch which she dodges swimmingly. She caught the man's arm, turns it over, holds it upfront and cracks the man's neck with her other hand. Another man trying to attack her from behind, she tilts her head, pulls the man from her back and smashes him to the floor, shoots his head twice. She shakes her head, newbies.
Her orbs snare the man in pursue striding to enter the subway as the last autopilot subway for the night stops. She spurts in seconds to reach him but she's behindhand. The subway door's already closing. One of their rules is to keep wrecking public facilities to a minimum so she holds herself not to barge and rips the door.
