9: Woods

The ended up at the end of the vent. It lead outside. Rox stopped at the end. Two slammed into Rox's back. "Are you ok?" Rox said as he looks back to her. She nodded and he look back. He seen that there was a hole through a fence. As Rox looks for a place to land he feels someone tug him. It was two. She points to a pipe that was close. He looks where it is. "Oh, great," he replied. As he grabbed the pipe he felt it was wet. "It's wet so be careful," he slides down it and lands in a puddle. Rox walks out of the way for Two.

They go to the fence where a hole is in it. The wooden fence was rotten and had over grown plants. Rox walks through the hole and it lead into woods. Two grabs his hand in fear. He starts to walk as mud squashed underneath his feet. The cold air was thin. There was small faint sounds of the animals. Then Rox felt a tug. He looks back at Two. "Is there something?" Rox asks. He watch as Two steps back. She tugs him again. Rox steps forward towards her. Then there was a big snapping sound. Right after a tree branch came crashing down right where Rox was standing. Well shit. Rox walks to the branch with Two still in hand. He then let's go and climbs over it. As Rox waits for Two he hears something walking over towards them. Rox turns around to Two. He held his arms out to cach Two. "Hey," Rox called out to Two. He watch as she looked down at him. She jumped down and Rox caches her bridal style. He puts Two down fast and grabs her hand. Then he runs fast away with Two in hand. Rox looks back to see a dog. Oh fuck me. He turns his head back forward.

As Rox scanned the place he seen an log. He ran over to it. The mud made it hard to run. Leaves were falling down from the trees. As the cold air bites his skin. His breath came cold. They got to the log. He look back at Two. "Going in. I will be back as soon as I can," His breathing was uneven. She nods and heads in the log. When he looks back at the dog it was sniffing around. Is it blind. Rox runs away from the log then yells, "Hey!" The dog parks up and starts to run straight to Rox. As he ran he seen a rabbit hole.

He jumps right in the hole. Rox watch as the dog ran past. His breaths steady out. He turns around then came face to face with a rabbit. Rox quickly covers his mouth. Fear fills him. He jumps out and the rabbit doing the same. Rox stumbles through the mud and leaves.

He gets back to the log and run to Two. "Kill it," he said as he hides behind her. As Rox looks at her looking at the rabbit. He hears her start to laugh. He looks at her confused. Then he sees the rabbit in the corner of his eye move closer. Out of fear of losing Two. So he steps in front of her. Two's laughing faded away. Rox was trimbling in fear but his mind was set on protecting Two. The broken sword that he killed the spider with. He pulls it out and holds it right in front of him. The rabbit came closer and closer. Rox's fear rises and rises. He trembles in fear and his heart beats fast. I have to keep her safe. All he was focus on was keeping her safe.

He steps backwards. The rabbit sniffed them then hopped away. Rox exhales not knowing that he was holding his breath. He drops down to the ground. Warm tears rolled down his face. As his trembling body sits. Two goes and sits next to him. She puts her hand on his arm. Rox looks down at her. No holes in his bag that he wears over his face. The tears drips down. "You faced... fear... to protect... me," Two was quite and her voice was soft. As she looked up at him she seen he was in more tears. "You... ok," she mumbles.

He looks up to her, "I... I'm fine," he said in a sad tone. He gets up on his feet and holds his hand out for Two. Two takes his hand and gets up. Rox pulls her close to him. Then wraps his arms around her. There was warmth between the two. Rox felt heat frome on his face. His heart beats faster then it was. His stomach starts to turn. I'm glad she's okay. Then the warm imbrace ended. I wish it could last forever. He holds his hand out towards Two. She takes his hand.

Rox leads Two out of the obsess side of the log. There feet was on the muddy ground. The leafs on the ground crunched under every step. There feet where muddy and had small pieces of leafs. Rox's head was blank and he was dizzy. His face was hot and his stomach was filled with butterflies. The cold air wasn't helping him at all. Am I sick or something. Damint. As Rox and Two walk. Both there hands intwine with each other. The air was still crisp cold. Then the smallest tug broke Rox's daze. He looks back to see Two with a stick that has a bug on it. As he watches her putting the the bug on the stick over a dry river. The bug was burnt into ashes as the stick was fine.
