Okay this chapter is going to be interesting. I hope you enjoy (p.s this chapter is pretty long so hang in there 😅)

My mind is fuzzy, the last remnants of a dream being chased away by the realisation that I am awake again. It was a nice dream, something about sitting in a big oak tree in meadow full of flowers but the details are fading fast even as I try to recall them. With a mental sigh I allow my brain to focus and cautiously open one eye. The bright spring sunlight cuts the room in half and I see dust-motes dancing in the wall of light. I pull the duvet up over my head to keep it out. It's not going to work, my brain is awake now and already worrying about Gigi decision, if she will come or not.

I lift myself up, removing the duvet off my strewn-about head. It would be a lie to pretend I was happy on my last day off from work. I knew the day would fly by, and I was fatigued from work, so I didn't feel like mingling or being polite to individuals who were unpleasant to me. I work as a waiter in a restaurant and have been there for approximately six months. My coworkers were OK; however, they may be annoying at times and like to slack off. My boss is one of my favorites; she wasn't nearly as bad as the others.

Her name is Eleanor. She is quite perky; energetic, vibrant, and enthusiastic. She's the friend who's always up for games and activities and exclaims, "Hey guys, this is fun!". When she's angry, however, she's a whole different person. Her eyes would narrow into a piercing glare, and her voice would shift from a light to a dark tone. Her voice would grow louder and louder as she spoke, and it was rather intimidating.

I walk into my bathroom and shut the door. After using the restroom, I wash my hands. I examine my looks in the mirror after washing my face. My blue eyes were like a bright blue sky seen through a cracked prison wall. Smiles, in my opinion, are the most significant aspect; they convey the genuine narrative of happiness, and how it is always ready to ignite when the appropriate spark arrives. My smile, on the other hand, did not appeal to me at all. It doesn't impress me in any way. My brown feathery hair was a tangle on my head and protruded like hedgehog hair. I noticed that there was stubble forming on my chin as well. I looked tired.

I exit my bathroom and go for my phone on my nightstand. I saw a couple of messages from my Mom and Zayn. Zayn is the first person I click on.

zaynie: Okay so Gigi agreed to come!! I'll come to get you around 2

Lou: Okay see you there.

When I glanced at the clock, a wave of panic fill me. It was 1:45. I need to hurry up and put on some clothes.

I take a step towards my closet and open it. My entire wardrobe was not particularly opulent. Sweatpants and sweatshirts, oversized shirts, Adidas clothing, and joggers were all on display. I also had a few pairs of pants and T-shirts.

I put on some blue pants and a white tee. I put them on and then added a brown jacket to tie everything together. I examine myself in my full-length mirror and I look decent.
