She opened the door and walked out into the hallway. "Where do you think you're fucking going," she heard her dad say drunkenly. She stormed past him to the front door. "I'm going to a friends," Rain put her hand on the door knob before her dad started yelling. "No you're not you little slut. I know exactly where you're going. You're a little slut," her dad said (repeating what he says every time she trys to leave) grabbing her arm and pulling her away from the door.
He grabbed her upper arm and threw her on the creaky, old, dusty couch. "You're staying right here," he said. "No, I'm not," Rain said trying to get up. He pushed her back down and tired to put his hand up her dress. Rain took action fast, she kicked him in the chest. Knocking him down. She jumped up and sprinted to the door, opening it she ran ad fast as she could out of the quiet, lonely trailer park. She ran until she got to the gas station two miles away. Out of breath she sat on the bench Blaine and her always sit and talk about their lives. She took out her phone and texted Blaine. 'are you almost here, I'm scared'
'yea, just around the corner'
And he was right. Rain heard a honk and looked up. There Blaine was in his shiny, candy apple red Corvette. He got out and sat beside her. He was wearing black slacks, a blue button up shirt, and his short black hair was combed out of his eyes. How did I end up with someone so perfect she thought. "Hey babygirl," he said with sorrow. Rain didn't respond. She just looked down. "Do you wanna talk about it," he asked taking her hand. Rain bursted in tears and buried her face in Blaine's shoulder. He took her in his strong, warm arms and pulled her close. "it's ok, my love," he said stroking her hair. "No, it's not," she said angrily pushing him away. "What is it," he asked concerned. Rain took a deep breath, wiped her eyes and said in a calm voice. "I'm cheating on you," Blaine just sat there not all that shocked. There was always something wrong with Rain. Sometimes it was a serious problem, other times it wasn't. "What," he put a "shocked" but concerned expression on his face. "I'm sorry, I - I like someone else," she said looking down. "Who," Blaine lifted her chin with his index finger. "Hail," she said not looking him in the eye. "But he's gay," Blaine put his hand down. "I know, but I think I love him," she said. "it's not cheating if you love someone else," he said feeling on edge because he really loved Rain and wanted to be with her especially when she has her breakdowns. She always says no one understands more than I do. he thought. Again no response. "Are you breaking up with me," he whispered looking at his hands. "No, I ... just thought I'd tell you. You know I don't like secrets between us. Besides he'll never love me back," She muttered the last sentence to herself. "You know I don't want to lose you to him," he said. "And you won't," Getting up and smiling. "Come on it's getting cold out here," she said getting into the car. And just like that everything was suddenly happy again.
