The first dream in a long time

''Hi Ambar, how are you'', Luna asked. ''I am totally fine. I am just so happy to be back, I already have some changes and ideas in my mind for Jam&Roller, so I am very excited to be back to work. And no, I cannot give you a free smoothie, even if you are my cousin.'' ''I, I did want to ask that'', Luna chuckled and gave Ambar a little naughty look. ''However, I do not have time for drinks, because I must go to the rink. I promised Juliana to be on time for a change'', and that said, Luna ran to the lockers to change into her skates.

''Luna, you were supposed to be here at three'', Juliana said disappointed, but with a little smile. ''No, no, no, no, no. I am truly sorry Juliana, I thought you emailed me that we were going to meet at four.'' ''Well, you are here now, and I did not have really high expectations of you arriving early, so let's just start.'' Luna and the rest of the team had to do heavy warming up since it was the first time in weeks that they have had training. For Luna, it was easy, because when she was on vacation with her friends, they skated all the free time they had. Especially the times Matteo and she went skating. They were hopelessly in love with each other and loved skating together. Then, it felt like they just knew what the other was feeling and thinking, so no talking and no misunderstandings were needed to show each other their feelings. In the past, they have had many misunderstandings which led to them growing apart and ending up hurt, but now they promised to never hurt each other again and to speak up if something was bothering them.

''Luna, you are really in your element, and I just love seeing that.'' ''Thank you, I skated all summer, and... I have learned some new awesome tricks.'' ''That is amazing Luna, really. With your passion, and now also time and dedication, I am sure we will rock this year with our new team. And. On that note, guys gather around. I have someone to introduce. You will get another new team member, who surprised me suddenly at the end of the summer, by coming here and showing me his skating skills, and asking if there was room for him in this team. He already should have been here, but his name is...'' ''VALERIO'', this guy yelled from across the room, entering the rink, while trying to tie the laces of his skates, which were bright orange with teal stripes on them. ''But you can call me Val'', he said out of breath. ''Well, you are late, but not the only one so we have not started training yet, so no problem this time. I want to welcome you on the team, Valerio.'' Juliana gave Luna a, a little bit funny, smile. After a little name round, they started training and went over the basics, just to get started. Luna was a little uncomfortable during the training because she never skated with people, she did not know very well yet, but she thought she would get over it as soon as she got to know her new teammates.

After the training, Luna was exhausted and went to the bar for a cold drink, when in the lockers, she ran into Val. ''Oh, hi. I am sorry, I am really clumsy and did not see you there'', Luna said feeling stupid and gave Val a sorry smile. ''Ha-ha. No prob. I get it, I am also not the most ably one. I have not really introduced myself to you, so hi I am Val'', he said and raised his arm to give Luna a handshake. ''Well, you know me by now, I am Luna Valente, and I am clumsy and always late'', she launched. ''Luna Valente, he. I have heard from you. I was told you are an excellent skater.'' ''Thank you, I do love skating, it is my passion.'' ''I got a feeling like that when I saw you skating, yes.'' There was a little moment of silence right there, and during the conversation, Luna began to feel weird about him. Like she knew him, but it felt weird, and not in a very pleasant way, but somehow also not uncomfortable. ''Luna, may I maybe invite you for a drink in the park sometime, I have wanting to go to the park, but I have not had the opportunity yet?'' Luna, not knowing how she felt about it said, ''Yes sure, but today is not a good time, maybe tomorrow''. Val agreed and gave her his number so they could be in touch, and after that Luna went immediately home because she did not feel well.

''Luna are you okay, you seem a little bit distracted. Did something happen during your training?'' ''He, oh mom. Ehh, no, no. Nothing happened, but... We got a new teammate, and I don't know. He is nice, but I got a strange feeling when I talked to him.'' ''Well, I think you just need a good sleep. I'll bring you some food later, so you can clean up and get ready for bed.'' ''Okay mom, thanks.'' Deep in her thoughts, Luna went to her room. Ever since Luna became the heir of the Benson mansion, she refused to move out of her room in the employee's wing. She changed into her pyjama and ate the delicious Mexican food her mom made her.

Deep in her dreams, somewhere in the middle of the night, Val, the new boy, appeared in her dreams. Luna was on the rink, skating as usual, but there was this mysterious vibe. On the other side of the rink, Val was doing some amazing tricks, which Luna has never done before. When she wanted to skate to him and ask about his tricks, she couldn't. She wanted to but couldn't. ''Luna, you know you can do this too. I know. It is in our genes.'' He started spinning, and spinning, and spinning. Then, everything around them started to light up, until everything became so bright that it made Luna wake up suddenly.

''Matteo, I am so happy to see you!'' Luna ran up to Matteo and jumped to hug him. ''Luna, hee. What a surprise this is chica delivery. Do you need something from me or something?'' Matteo started laughing when he saw Luna's happy face. ''No, I don't need something from you, but after last night's dream, I just needed to see you to feel better.'' '' Wait, you had a dream again? A bad one?'' ''Yes, Matteo. It was very strange you know. There is this new boy in Jam&Roller. His name is Valerio, but everyone calls him Val. And I was skating on the rink and he was there too. I mean, I already got a strange feeling after talking to him yesterday in the lockers. But then in my dream, he said something weird. Something about knowing that I can do the difficult tricks he can do, and he also said something about that it is in our genes or something.'' ''Luna, that is very strange indeed.'' Matteo chuckled. He took Luna's hands, gave her a kiss, and hugged her again.

Luna just wanted to relax a little bit, and after Matteo had calmed her down a little bit, she felt better. Simon had his first day at music school yesterday, and that was Luna's call to check upon him. When Luna walked into Simon and the guys' apartment, Simon was singing and playing an up-tempo song, which Luna thought was just perfect. It was about starting over and showing yourself in a new, better way. ''He, Luna! What good to see you. I am sorry I haven't called, but my teachers gave me so much work to do, that I haven't done anything else ever since.'' ''But Simon, that song is just amazing. I love it.'' ''Thank you, that means so much to me, Luna. But enough about me, how are you doing? How is the training going?'' Ehmm, well I had this weird dream yesterday about this new boy at J&R, Val, but I don't want to talk about it, Simon.'' ''Okay, then I will play the song I wrote again for you.''
