Ana fixed her hair and readjusted her shirt before letting out a sigh. The image of Seto bursting into the dojo and demanding that they go on a date popped into her head again. She couldn't help but laugh. I guess Amin-chan can be rather dramatic... Actually, that makes sense. I feel like he was pretty dramatic during his tournaments when we watched them in class.
She picked up her purse and headed outside to where Seto was waiting. Thankfully, Hikari was busy with something in his room and hadn't come out to bug him.
"Well, Amin-chan, where too?" Ana asked, and Seto turned to her, frowning.
"I don't know. You never told me where you wanted to go."
Ana stared at him, surprised. "You're telling me that you of all people came without a plan?"
He ticked his tongue on his teeth and looked away before grumbling, "You were supposed to tell me where you wanted to go this time."
"I told you where I wanted to go and you turned me down." Ana started walking down the sidewalk and thought about what to do now.
Seto walked with her and seemed thoughtful. He smirked. "I'll agree to go to the pool with you if you can get Yugi to participate in Kaiba Land's summer duel tournament."
Ana stopped and raised an eyebrow at him. "That's random? Why can't you ask him?"
"I'm not going to just ask him... Can I threaten his family or kidnap his grandpa instead?" Seto stared ahead, a blank look on his face.
She glared at him. "Considering I was abducted three months ago, if you did something like that I'd break up with you in a heartbeat."
The look on his face was one of conflict and guilt. He turned his head away from her. "Got it. I won't do anything like that... again."
"I'm just going to ignore that last part. Phone." Ana stopped and held out her hand to him. He looked at her, confused. "What? You want me to ask him to participate, right? Do you have his number?"
Seto sighed and pulled out his phone. "Give me a second to unblock it."
"Unblock... You know what, never mind." She waited and eventually he handed her his phone with the unregistered number pulled up. She pressed dial, and it rang.
"Hello, Kaiba-kun? This is a surprise. You never call me." A chipper boy's voice came from the other end.
"Oh, sorry. I'm not Kaiba-san. I'm Sakurai Ana, his girlfriend. Nice to meet you, Muto Yugi."
Seto flushed at her introduction and hissed. "I didn't say to tell him that."
Ana stuck out her tongue at him, then continued with her conversation.
"His... girlfriend? Oh, what can I do for you?" There was doubt in his voice.
"Hang on a second. It doesn't seem you believe me." She pulled the phone away from her ear and held it up to Seto. "Say hi to your friend, Amin-chan."
"We're not friends!" Seto snapped.
Ana ignored him and pulled the phone back to her ear. "That good enough for you?"
"Amin-chan?" She could hear Yugi holding back laughter.
"That's my nickname for him. Cute, isn't it? He seems to like it." Ana flashed a teasing smile at Seto who tried to make a grab for the phone.
"I've changed my mind. Give me back my phone." Seto tried to grab it again, but Ana danced around him, laughing.
"So, anyway. Amin-chan apparently wants you to participate in the summer tournament at Kaiba Land, but he's too shy to ask you directly to participate." Ana couldn't hold back her glee as Seto's face turned bright red from embarrassment.
"Since when did I say that!" He shouted at her, but ignored him.
"So, will you participate?" Ana asked, as she dodged Seto again.
Yugi hesitated. "Well, that's... Um..."
"I get the feeling you want to be friends with Amin-chan, but he's too much of an ass to budge on that. Am I wrong?"
"... Well, no."
"Then participate in the tournament. If you do, then he has to do something that will help make him more human, and hopefully less of an ass." Ana started walking away quickly and Seto chased her down. "Hurry and agree or Amin-chan's going to smash this phone!"
"Huh, uh, ok," Yugi agreed.
"Great! Have fun at the tournament." Ana hung up and handed the phone back to a very peeved Seto.
"I do not want to be his friend. What did you mean do something that makes me more human? How does going to the pool make me more human? Also, why the heck did you tell him we were dating?" Seto snatched his phone away, glaring at her.
Ana made a tisk sound at him. "It doesn't really I just bullshitted that. You didn't set any precedent for how I was supposed to talk. Is it that big a deal that I told him we're dating? I didn't realize we were keeping that a secret."
"What? It's not... It's just that Yugi's friends are extra annoying about the tiniest of things." Seto growled and scratched his head furiously.
Ana smirked. "Oh, I see. You just didn't want them to tease you about us dating."
He looked as if he choked on his own air. "I don't want Wheeler being a butt much like he is every time I run into him."
"Amin-chan, does this Wheeler have a girlfriend?" Ana grinned up at him.
"How the frick' would I know. I don't associate with that idiot if I can help it." Seto looked extra irritated.
"Well, if he doesn't then can't you just lord it over him you have a hot girlfriend?"
Seto sighed loudly. "Did you just call yourself hot?"
"Am I not?" Ana crossed her arms, a teasing smile on her lips.
Seto gave her a nasty grin. "You must be since I'm dating you."
"Way to complement yourself." Ana slowly clapped, emphasizing that his statement didn't really impress her.
Seto scowled at her. "You started it."
"I was just stating a fact. You on the other hand were stroking your own ego." Ana turned around and started walking down the street. "Would it have killed you to just agree and boost my confidence for once?"
"You are hot. I was also emphasizing that I have excellent tastes."
Ana laughed. "Yeah, ok. By the way, I got him to agree. So, you have to go to the pool with me."
Seto flinched and groaned. He obviously didn't think I'd get Muto-san to agree. Ana spun around and pointed at him.
"Oh, and that means you're swimming with me. Not just coming. Got it? If not, then I can easily tell Muto-san never mind." Ana pushed what she wanted. "Don't think I can't get his number either. You're not the only one with connections."
Seto grimaced but sighed. "Fine."
"Great... So, where are we going today?" Ana asked again.
"I don't know. What do normal people do on dates?"
Ana rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone. "Not romantic picnics on top of a mountain, that's for sure. How about lunch and a movie?"
"That's a normal date?"
"... Yes, Amin-chan. That's usually what a first date is. Anyway, let's go." Ana turned and marched away.
Well, that was weird, but now I finally get to see Amin-chan without a shirt. Hehe.
