Chapter two here we go!
____________________________On the eve before a fashion show Astoria's apartment was always chaos, between her books scattered through the living room, post-it notes hanging from random surfaces to Wanda running around with a face mask on while trying to get prepared for the next day and Nat trying to spray lavender mist to calm the household.
Wanda had gotten asked to walk in the Gucci fall fashion show tomorrow evening and at first she was elated but now running around the house she was stressed. As was Astoria who was hunched over her notebooks writing notes from her books and highlighting random key sentences or laws. She had to restart reading her page ten times because of the number of questions she was being bombarded with from the girls.
"Why didn't you say YES?" Nat sprayed a few green pillows that laid on the couch.
Astoria looked at the two girls giving them a you know why look.
"The plan." Wanda rolled her eyes making air quotes as she said the word.
"He could also be a serial killer." Astoria chuckled as she popped a chip in her mouth.
"He's not." Nat sing-songed as she started spraying the vanilla colored curtains by the window.
Astoria stopped moving her yellow highlighter, the one thing she asked the girl was not to google him, no trying to find out who he was or what family he belonged to in the city. She didn't need them trying to convince her into going out with the devilishly handsome man.
"You didn't." Wanda took it as her cue and started for the bathroom to take off the mask that was peeling on her face.
"Before you get mad." Nat raised her hands up as the sunset peered through the window behind the curtains lighting up her red hair. "I didn't technically google him, I was reading the New Yorker online and then BOOM there he was in an article."
Astoria rubbed her temples for just a moment, she wanted nothing more than to go back to studying but her sub-conscious was eating at her. She bounced her bare feet on the floor that held her tiny little Texas outline tattoo, something she got the night before she left home and headed for the big apple.
"Well, what did it say?" She finally asked.
Wanda reappeared from the bathroom jumping onto the couch across from the chair Astoria sat in and Nat joined her. Both of them giddy with excitement that they could now freely talk about the information about the mysterious man.
"Okay so." Nat started shifting her weight around so she could sit cross legged on the couch. "His name is James Barnes, but he goes by Bucky to a few and he is like the youngest self made billionaire CEO in the city, he owns some company called S.B.B or whatever anyways, he is always spotted with models and high society girls but never dates them for long and-"
"So he is a player?" Astoria rolled her eyes picking back up her notebook.
"Who cares A? He is young hot and rich, you can go out with him and have a good time! Maybe dust some cobwebs off your panties." Wanda laughed throwing a pillow across the living room.
The pillow hit Astoria in the side of her face and her mouth dropped open. She picked back up the pillow launching it back at Wanda faking to be offended. It was no secret to the girl that Astoria didn't really date or go out with guys. She didn't even like it when people touched her and men always wanted to touch her.
"I would for the right guy, which is definitely not him, i just don't want to be another notch in the bed post. I'd want a guy who actually cared to get to know me." Astoria shrugged her shoulders.
