"I.I.I was," she strained to express herself. She was well aware that she was in hot water due to her tardiness.
"I know you can talk flower, let's hear your apology this time," he said, staring at her for a long time before a sliver of displeasure flashed across his face.
She avoided facing him by keeping her gaze on the ground. Should she tell him that she lost track of time because her father was too busy yelling at her? Is that going to make Alec even angrier? It would, without a doubt. He was enraged by everything, but if she lied, he would be able to see right through it. She made the decision to remain silent.
He gripped my chin and raised it. As he noticed her heartbeat become louder and faster, he smirked. Even after all these years, he still had this effect on her. Her tummy was churning with butterflies.
With a chilly face, he commanded, "Tell me the truth and I won't be so hard on you."She stepped backward two little steps. For her, there was no way out.
