Michaeng Oneshot (Volume 2)

14: Standing right next to you..

Ring..ring..ring.. a couple of ring was heard on Mina's phone around 12 midnight on a cold Monday night. Mina groggily took her phone without looking who the person is calling her at these wee hours of the cold night.

"H-hello?" Mina answered in her sleepy husky voice. Silence was heard from the other line and a weak cry. Until suddenly mina heard her faint and weak voice..

"U-unnie.."

Chaeyoung.. it was her on the other line,but she was crying?

""Chaeng? What happened and where are you?" Mina suddenly becomes awake and into her senses when she heard her bestfriend and longtime crush was crying on the phone. She immediately got up and fix herself worried on what is happening.

Yes you read it right. Mina is chaeyoung's bestfriend for years. And Mina is inlove with her without the latter's knowledge. Mina hides her feelings for the younger one for so long, afraid that if she will confess to her, everything will fall apart,including their friendship and their bond that they have created years and years ago. And so with that fear in mind, mina was just contented on loving chaeyoung from behind, supporting every relationship chaeyoung had including the failed ones. Little did chaeyoung know that Mina is the one hurting from behind everytime she would cry and see her hurt.

Meanwhile..

"Where are you chaeyoung and what the hell happened?" Mina worriedly said as she wore her hoodie and prepared to go out as she knew from the background that chaeyoung was definitely outside.

"Uhmm i'm in the park near your house.." chaeng said sobbing in the cold night. Mina came rushing outside her room and pick her car keys. It was very cold as winter is coming, and chaeyoung staying at the park is somewhat Mina was not agreeing to.

"Wait for me there im coming to get you" mina said seriously as she knows something is up and its for sure is not good.

Mina drive as fast as she could, hoping and praying that she will be okay. She is mad into why chaeyoung needs to be at the park, and at the same time hurt as she knows something bad happened for chaeyoung to cry like that.

She arrive at the park and parked her car near chaeyoung. She immediately went down and run towards where chaeyoung was sitting, she saw chaeyoung hugging herself from the cold wind while her phone is down. Tears are seen from the younger cub.

"C-chaeng?" Mina said as she went and hug the younger cub. Chaeng immediately look up to Mina with tears in her eyes, she looks so broken and distraught. Mina was teary eyed as she hugs her chaeyoung.

"U-unnie" chaeng replied as she hug Mina and cried so hard at Mina's embrace. Mina couldnt do or say anything to pacify her love. She is hurting more than chaeyoung and she wish she could just took away all chaeyoung's sadness and pain. Mina hugs chaeyoung tight and rubs her back..

Mina took the courage to ask her bestfriend what happened to her. She had the idea what is this about,but she wanted to finalize her conclusion. Chaeng remained at her embrace sobbing but otherwise was able to answer her weakly.

"I uhmm b-broke with her unnie, she cheated on me and i found out. I- i hate her unnie, i really do and it hurts unnie. It hurts so much" chaeyoung said as she cried once more. Mina was right.  That girl, Dayhun, the one chaeyoung had her relationship for over 6 months is the one to blame. Mina didnt like dayhun in the first place. Not because she wants chaeyoung for herself but among the girls chaeng dated, dayhun is the only one Mina was against to, she felt something was off from that girl and months later, here they are now. Her assumptions was right and to be very honest, she hated the girl even more.
