Trouble Rises

The school bell rung. It was dismissal, so everyone could leave for today. Everyone packed their stuff and exited Miss Bustier's class.

Nino: "Wanna come over today?"

Alya: "Sure, I'll ask the others too."

Marinette was waiting outside on the steps in her purse, talking to Tikki about the plan they've made up last night. Adrien came to talk to Marinette.

Adrien: "Marinette?"

Tikki hid back into Marinette's purse and Marinette flinched.

Marinette: "Oh hey, Adrien."

~Huh? I'm not stuttering?~ Marinette.

Adrien: "Hey. I just wanted to see if you're okay. You usually stutter when I talk to you. Everything good?"

Marinette scuffed. "Just because I'm not stuttering over you, doesn't mean I'm not okay, Adrien."

Adrien was shocked. He never heard Marinette speak to him like that before. His mouth was shape in a "o".

~Ahhh! Why did I say that?! He probably hates me now! I didn't mean for it to come off so heatedly. He hates me now! THIS IS A DISASTER. CODE RED! CODE RED!~ Marinette.

Tikki signaled Marinette's from stomping in her purse from the inside to visit Master Fu.

Marinette: "Oh uhhh, good talk! But I really need to go right now. Bye, Adrien!" She ran off.

Marinette opened the purse to let Tikki out.

Marinette: "I'm starting to feel that I'm loosing interest in Adrien." She said running.

Tikki: "Don't worry, Marinette. There are plenty of boys in the sea!"

Marinette smiled. She was lucky to have Tikki as her friend and therapist.

Adrien was confused. But then again, Marinette can be so confusing at times.

Alya: "Dang it! Did we miss Mari already?"

Adrien: "Yup."

Nino: "Awe man. We wanted to invite you two to at my place with Alya."

Adrien: "Sorry, I'd love to stay, but I got fence. You know how it goes."

Nino: "Wish it didn't had to be that way."

Alya elbowed Nino.

Nino: "WHAT?!"

Adrien checked his watch.

Adrien: "Speaking of fencing, I gotta go. I'll see you guys later. Bye!"

Alya and Nino waved.

Nino: "So, just you and me now" he smirked at Alya.

Alya chuckled.

Alya: "You smirking looks like you're constipated." She laughed harder.

Nino: "Awe, c'mon! That is SO not funny!" He walked down the stairs as Alya followed him, laughing.

Adrien was looking in his bag to see if he got all his homework in. But he wasn't looking ahead as he walked. He bumped into Luka and dropped his backpack.

Luka: "Oh I- Adrien! Sorry 'bout that!"

Adrien is blushing.

Adrien: "Oh, hey"
