8. Choffee And Rain

"the elevator leads directly into your house?! that's so cool" your jaw dropped when you walked out of the elevator and looked around the huge living room, marveling the interior. It looked luxurious and ridiculously spacious. 

"I know you told me that you came from a rich family but this is insane. I didn't expect you to be this rich!" you honestly spoke your mind out

"why do you act like you're not rich? you're literally an hire to one of the most influential companies of this country, one that runs a chain of banks on top of that!" Jun Woo laughed at your behavior. 

"But this is too luxurious for just one person." you sat down on the white couch, throwing your head back and melting into it. "I feel like I'm on cloud 9. you did good Jun Woo. you did good." 

"want some coffee? I'll go make some" Jun Woo asked as he headed to the other part of the house removing his coat. 

"Add some chocolate in mine!" you yelled after him and he made an okay sign before completely disappearing into the house. 

tiny tapping and pattering sounds made it's way around the house, the sound gradually increasing in volume and speed. You were glad that you made it inside the house before getting caught in the rain. 

taking one of the pillows in your lap and getting cozy, your eyes went over over to the coffee table in front of you. documents and files spread out over the table. 

being the curious cat you were, you picked flipped through them not really bothering to read them, most of them were of Wusang and some cases Jun Woo was probably handling but one of them caught your eye. The file with Babel's logo and name. 

you just looked at the file and before you could even think of opening it, it got snatched out of your hand and was replaced with a mug of coffee. the warmth of milky coffee seeping into your palms and the faint smell of chocolate mixed with it making you relaxed. 

you looked up at Jun Woo to see him place his mug down on the table and gathering all the documents and placing them aside. 

"I forgot that these were here. they aren't that important but you can't read them, It's for the cases I'm working for" Jun Woo smiled and sat down beside you, grabbing his mug. 

"you're working for Babel?" you asked him as you blew softly into your coffee to cool it down before you drank it. 

he nodded in response, "Wusang is hired for Babel but I'm not exactly in charge of the cases regarding them, I'm still new and a junior so I just help around" 

"have you ever met the chairman?" you asked your voice showing interest and laced with excitement. 

Jun Woo's faced scrunched and he tilted his head momentarily while he looked at you in confusion. you were never the type to be interested in people, this was new. 

"yeah. He seems like a total airhead. he's so obnoxious and seems really dumb too, I don't think he's qualified enough" he answered and described the man in question. 

"obnoxious? he didn't seem much like that." you mumbled, taking a sip.

"you met him?" Jun Woo asks in surprise. "Jan Han Seo?"

"just once or twice. He was alright." you simply replied. "but isn't it risky to be involved with Babel? I heard they have a bad reputation and so many rumors around them. it must be tough"

"It's fine. we always win, we're the top law firm after all" Jun Woo proudly reassured you with his chest puffed up and you two laughed. 

"if you ever need a attorney then just call me. I will forever be in your service." Jun Woo bowed down politely in a formal manner as if he were contacting a future business client.
