Solana sighed whilst waiting for little sister Teja and went on her phone. Their brother Andre honked at them like there was no tomorrow when Teja finally stepped out.

"What took you so long? We're going to school not a party"

Andre said before driving off. Teja mugged him and took a video of herself. Solana put on some music. Bell Biv Devoe- Poison was playing in the background. Teja smiled and said they should put on SWV- You're The One next. Solana and Andre smiled but sighed when they saw they were at school.

"I'll meet you and Solana inside, I'm going to park the car"

Teja nodded and ran up to Solana. Her phone dinged and she saw a text from Maria.

{I'm staying home today-  Maria}

She sighed and went to her classroom. She met up with Brittany, Star and Alexandra. They walked to class dreading the maths test on Algebra.

-school break-

"You know, the test wasn't that bad guys"

"Brittany, the test was easy for you", Star said making everyone laugh. Brittany rolled her eyes and played with the lunch. Most days, they'd receive dry chips all the time. Brittany looked around and sighed.

"Do you want your brownie??"

"Yes Alex, now move along"

Teja said causing her to mug her and Brittany laugh.

[Alex is a nickname for Alexandra]

Solana passed by and waved at her. Teja made a funny face making Solana shake her head. Brittany scanned the cafeteria but didn't  see Maria.

"Maria really skipped school?"

She said in a low voice. Teja nodded and looked around.

Iyana and her friend Dearra walked past and glanced at their table every five seconds. Star put her middle finger up towards them and smiled un-invitingly. They turned around and went back on their phones.

Teja got up and threw her tray of food away. Brittany did the same and whispered that Iyana and Dearra were weird. Teja nodded and gave them a death glare for trying to trip Brittany up. Star was going to confront her but Alex stopped her.

-45 minutes later-

"Why is P.E. a subject?", Brittany said out of breath from the track course. Alex told her she needs more exercise making Brittany mug her.

Star laughed and nodded her head in agreement.

Teja shook her head and gave Brittany some water. "Thank you!! At least someone cares", she said making them laugh. Dearra walked past them and they continued laughing and ignored her. Star glared at her as she walked past.

Brittany fcosued on her eyebrows and fixed her hair whilst Teja and Alexandra stared at their nails. They laughed afterwards.

"You laughing at me"

"No, you unclassified bitch. Sit down somewhere."

"Damn Alex", Xion said as he walked past with Solana.

Teja chuckled  and waved at them.

Dearra walked away in embarassment. They laughed quietly.
