(3rd person's POV)
kai just finished buying foods in the supermarket and left the food inside their dorm. but before that, he is looking for yeonjun to tell him that if he could put the foods inside the refrigerator and inside the cabinets because he needed to go somewhere.
"yeonjun hyung?" kai said, looking for yeonjun around their shared dorm.
"yeah? what can i help you kai?" yeonjun asked, coming out of his room wearing his specs and a black shirt with a pant that goes well with his top. "can you put the foods inside the refrigerator and the other stuffs with it?" kai said, in rush.
"yeah, sure," he said, walking to the counter to put them accordingly on the right places. "busy again, kai?" yeonjun asked, kai nodded then left the dorm.
he is now on his way to the hospital, visiting his lovely mother.

he enterend the room where his mother is confined. staring at her mother's delicate figure, he felt sad knowing her condition.
her mother opened her eyes and smiled at him, he walked near her and sat on the chair beside the bed then holds her mother's hand. he goes in the hospital atleast thrice a week to check on her mother.
"kai, my baby dolphin," she paused, lookong at her only son. "how are you?" she asked while looking at her son lovingly.
kai held her mother's hand and placed it to his cheeks and looked down on her bed while smiling. "i'm doing good mom, actually i was here to tell you something," he said.
"what is it kai?" she asked, still looking at her only son. "you see.. i think i've successfully made a new friend today, though she's kinda cold," he said while smiling remembering his conversation with y/n.
"don't worry baby, she will let her guard down and act kinder to you, that's how friends are when you've just met or befriend them," she explained carefully, smiling at his son. she sighed, if only she isn't inside the hospital she can probably take care of her son properly. he needed to spend his young days properly and freely. he needed to enjoy it. that's what she wanted to say, but kai refused. he wanted to stay with her mother as much as possible, knowing that she couldn't live long the way he wanted to. that's another reason why he rarely hang outs with his friends as he prefer to stay here, inside the hospital with his loving mother.
"mom, have you eaten yet?" kai asked, looking at her mother, if only it was possible he hoped he wouldn't forget every and each moments with her. she has a long way to go, but she needed to go in a few months. but kai, he didn't know, her mother told the doctors and nurses to not tell him about her condition so he wouldn't worry too much.
her mother answered, "yes, i already eat kai," she chuckled. kai loved the way her mother laughed, to be exact kai loved everything about her. he felt a pain somewhere in his heart just by thinking that he'll lost the woman who was with him since birth, the woman who takes care of him despite his father's awful attitude. he cherished every time with her. he knew she'll get better, because that's what he know.
while her mother is talking about how cute he was when he was a baby, he accidentally fell asleep. his mother, mirae smiled at his sleeping son. while he was sleeping, she was writing another letter, folding it neatly and put it inside the drawer beside her. she too, cherished every moment she can have with his son and is willing to help him with every problems he faced as long as she's alive and breathing. she felt sad because of how expensive the hospital she is in just to make sure she could be better.
after a few hours kai waked up, looking at her sleeping mother, he left quietly.. making sure she won't wake up so she could rest properly.
he smiled while he's on his way to go to his dorm, looking around for yeonjun but he isn't home yet. kai thought that maybe he's somewhere and busy too.
and that's how kai's life goes around.
