3rd person POV:
A few days have passed and the trio have been avoiding Cassie like crazy although she noticed, she just shrugged it of and didn't want to make a fuss about it.Maybe she was just overreacting or just imagining things. Cass decided that she was going to confront them about it in defense against the dark arts. Oddly enough Professor Lupin made the 3 rd years and 5 Th years have this class joined.
Professor Lupin was not there when she arrived at her first Defense against the dark arts lesson. Everyone sat down, took out their books, quills and parchment, and they were talking to each other when he finally entered the room. Remus Lupin smiled sweetly at them the kind of smile that makes your heart melt, he placed his briefcase on the teacher's desk.
"Good afternoon" he said. "Would you please put all your books in your bags. Today's will be a practical lesson. You will only need your wands" The class beamed, they have never been asked this before, this was their first practical Defense lesson and they were little too curious.
"Right then" said Professor Lupin. When everyone has finished he added. "If you will follow me"
Everyone was quite interested, the class got to its feet and followed the professor out the classroom. He led them along the deserted corridor and around the corner they saw peeves. Who was floating up and down in mid-air and stuffing the nearest keyhole with chewing gum. Peeves did not look up until they were about two feet's away from him.
"Loooony Lupin, loooony Lupin, loooony Lupin...." Cassie didn't understand he usually respected the teachers so why didn't that respect extend to Lupin?
Snapping her out of her thoughts the professor casted a spell which made the gum fly into peeves left nostril, they all laughed loudly while the twins and dean beamed 'cool sir'. He led them down a second corridor and stopped, right outside the staff room.
"Inside please" said professor Lupin, opening it and standing in the back.
Cassie had just realized that was her first time entering the staff room. It was long, paneled room full of old, mismatched chairs, it was empty except for one teacher snape. His eyes were glittering and there was a nasty sneer playing in his mouth.
"Leave it open Lupin I would rather not witness this" he got to his feet and strode past the class, his black ropes billowing behind him dramatically.
"Possibly no one's warned you, Lupin, but this class contains long bottom. I would advise you not to entrust him with anything difficult. Not unless Miss Granger is hissing instructions into his ears" he said
Neville went scarlet and Harry glared at snap but Cassie decided that it was bad enough that he bullied Neville infront of his fellow 3 rd years but in front of 5th years as well it was just too much.
