"War" was all I ever heard of as a child. It filled me with so much fear and sorrow and seeing my mother desperately awaiting my father's return from War was getting overbearing for me. I always trained with my father everyday since I got fascinated with the sword. It always felt like a mystery whenever I saw my father and his younger brother having sword fights whenever they were at home. Both of them were in the royal army's High chain of command and were always out in the battlefield and rarely at home. I really don't know their positions but they wore shinier armour than the rest of the soldiers.
Word later came that my father and his brother died in the war against the razian army of magicians and demons. My mother was broken and refused to accept the fact that her husband was dead. I could hear her wailing from my room and it pained me to see her like this. I tossed in bed until I finally stood up and picked up my wooden sword and went outside to clear my mind. The cool night breeze blew softly against my face and memories of my father and I came flashing through my mind.
My father lunged at me with his wooden sword and I dodged it easily and knocked him off balance and kicked his sword out of his hand and attacked him with full force barely giving him enough time to think and evade my attacks, then suddenly he hit my sword out of my hand with such great skill and strength that I was knocked to the ground. He laughed and said "with the way you are improving you might surely surpass me one day" I smiled and replied "get ready because I will become a greater warrior than you and the warriors before you". Those were the last words I said to him before he went to his last battle.
Tears flowed freely from my eyes and I began swinging my sword at nothing and grunting in frustration and anger. I swung until I couldn't feel my arms any longer and I sat and cried my eyes out. I was only 14years old at that time and that same night was going to be a night to remember. A bitter bloody night of fear sorrow and despair.Hey guys I'm just a beginner feel free to advice me in the comments and give me some tips on how to improve my writing I know its boring but it will get more interesting as I go deeper into it.
