A young boy can be seen drawing with a brush under a autumn leaf tree. The boy looks concentrated on his doings as he didn't notice a figure nearing his place.

Kuro's fingers magically tracing an image in his mind, drawing those beautiful lines in the surface below him. The features embedded in his body, the precious smile he gave him and those light in his eyes, he treasures them deep in his bones.

Kuro took a deep breathe and saw the masterpiece he made. Carefully tracing the outline of his work. He clutch his brush tightly, what is this feeling? It feels warm, it was nothing like he felt with his family.

“Kuro!” A young boy with a very long black hair and a bright blue eyes waved at his friend. He was wearing a white sokutai-like top and a pair of white puffed shorts. He was also not wearing any slippers.

The white haired boy was flustered at the sudden appearance of his friend. Kuro hurriedly hid the painting he made earlier. He laid his back at the tree, hiding the painting underneath the roots of it.

Kuro took a glance at the face of his friend before looking away. “What do you want?”

Shiro smiled at the grumpiness of his friend. Chuckling at the redness of Kuro's ears. “Didn't you remember? You promised me you'd hang with me today!”

“I've looked and asked your parents in your house but you weren't there! If it wasn't for my other friends telling me where the saw you, I'll never find where you were hiding at!” Shiro pouted while complaining at Kuro Doji's lack of response. He sat near his friend and lean at his shoulders, not noticing the sourness plastered in Kuro's face.

“Then why didn't you hang with your other friends then?” Kuro felt like eating a sour lemon right now. It feels suffocating.

While Kuro was looking away, he jolt at the sudden hug from Shiro. He look at the body leaning on him, the warm and freshness of Shiro mixing with his. His eyes widened at the contact before snapping out of it.

“H-hey! Get off me! Oi!” Kuro stammered as the arms around him tightened.

Shiro shook his head before speaking loudly. “No! Until you say you'll hang out with me! You promised!”

Kuro can feel the muffled voice in his stomach. Shiro's whole body clinging to him made him feel very warm. The heck is this idiot thinking?! His face was beginning to get hotter, he didn't know if it was the weather or it was just him.

“Y-You!! Shiro!”

“Noooo!”

The rattling head of Shiro slamming in his stomach and the arms around him made him embarrassed. Shiro, why do you always make me feel different? Kuro sigh at the stubbornness of his friend before looking away, not wanting to see Shiro's smiling face.

He huffed, giving up at his friend. “Okay...”

Shiro beamed at his statement. “Really?!”

Kuro nodded and looked away. Shiro cheered and dragged his friend towards the way to the forest. The shadows of the the two young boys reflecting into the lake they passed by, both faces filled with happiness, hands intertwined as they marched their way towards their destination.

Kuro felt content and warm. As long as he is with Shiro, everything feels right. He smiled and clutch the painting he made in his other hand, eyes glancing at the falling leaves in surprise. I never knew it was already Autumn, it brings back memories from when I met him, Shiro.
