That was years ago when we first met, in a café in Shinjuku to be exact. We were just having our stroll with Rei getting spoiled again and acting bratty when Rei suddenly runs away and gets his hand slipped from my hold.

His small figure and being a fast runner, he got away in the crowd and looking for him had been hard that time, but having one of the bodyguards with us, he had been sighted from the inside of a café and we go to get him from there. Entering the café, I notice a woman in front of him first. We get near them and he looks back at us.

I remember how my chest pumped that time; it felt weird and great at the same time.

We got close to them when she said that she found him running along in the streets and took him here because it was cold outside.

A woman with a kind heart.

She was about to leave, but then Rei started calling her Mommy. For sure, it's not just me that gets surprised by that. Knowing Rei the most, he doesn't like people and even doesn't talk with us, but the way he acts around her, he must be like her.

She's into my liking too.

Mister Imaushi then gave her an offer of Rei's acting Mom, which she respectfully refused. That was the weirdest and most confusing offer Mister Imaushi has ever made after he tried to hire a nanny for Rei, but they wouldn't even stay with him for an hour and would voluntarily get out of the house.

I watched her go out of the café that time, hoping we'd see each other around.

I haven't asked for her name, tch.

After that encounter, Rei starts talking about her, agreeing with all the words he said about her as if we had both known her for the longest time, even if we had just seen each other that day. Also, because of that, Rei keeps insisting on Mister Imaushi finding her, but the two-toned man just keeps on explaining to his child that she can't be with him. That makes him throw tantrums all night.

All of the bodyguards tried to calm him down, but even if it was me, he just wouldn't stop, not until the door opened, revealing an unexpected face: it was her, announcing that she'll start living with us right away.

Should I be happy with that?

"Ahm..." I look in her way, thinking if she's trying to get my attention, which she is. "... I'm Y/N."

Y/N...

"Koshi... Koshi Kambe." Reaching out my hands, she gladly accepts and shakes them. Having that smiled and sigh as if she never thought I wouldn't respond to her. "You look so relieved?"

"Well, you know..." She let go of my hand. "Since I'll be staying here, I want to at least make a friend. Well, if you don't mind..."

"I don't mind, Y/N."

I don't mind at all.

That was the start of our friendship and bond that got stronger as the days passed. Y/N and I have always been together with Rei. There was even a time that we could hardly be separated because of the fact that she's not that comfortable with the other people inside the house except for me, but later on, she makes it through it and walks around the house alone as if she now feels she belongs here too.
