She opened her eyes. White. The young teenage girl squinted until her vision registered. She was on a cloud, alone. Suddenly, she heard a rather deep voice that seemed to come from everywhere. The brunette stumbled backwards in shock, trying to figure out what's going on. A realization floods her mind and she instantly understands who, where, and what the person is saying. She asked out loud, "Where am I? And why am I here?"

The voice chuckled, proceeding to say, "My darling, you are in The Purgatory. It is where humans like yourself must make a decision on whether you would like to continue your life on earth, or come live with Me in heaven."

The girl was perplexed about this notion. Cocking her head to the side, she questioned aloud, "Wait, dun't ye usually make th' decision fer us?"

The voice gave a light laugh again, proceeding to explain. "On most occasions, yes. But right now, the choice is up to you. You are still very young, and still wanted on earth. In fact, you are trying to be brought back to life as we speak."

The girl was shocked to hear this. "They....miss me?"  Wow... she silently thought. A smile spread across her features, knowing that she was missed. The smile slowly faded as she wondered what would happen if she died for good. Would the circus still miss me?......would they even want me back? .......Am I even considered their family anymore?.....

Wiping a tear from her eye, she solemnly looked down and sighed. "I guess..." The teen closed her eyes and let out another sorrowful sigh. "....I guess I will live. "

"If that is what you wish, then I will grant it to you." He said. Without a moment's hesitation, the girl felt herself fall through the cloud, the light escaping from her view.

She was whisked into darkness, and continued to fall helplessly. Her left eye felt as if it were being burned, sending a wave of pain throughout her body. She let out a bloodcurdling scream, clutching her eye, tears streaming down her face. The brunette felt a sharp, stabbing pain in her side, doubling over in the abyss. Gritting her teeth, she felt her side where the pain emanated from, only to find it was warm...wet...

A large gust knocked her backwards, and she felt herself hit something hard. Her eyelids fluttered open briefly, and she heard a mutter. Her sight registered enough to tell that whoever was in front of her was smiling at her. The weak girl felt hands underneath her body hoist her off the ground before going unconscious once again.
