This is a random written piece I made a long time ago, the quality of writing is not that good but I just wanted to publish because why not.(2019)

Hey I believe this is a piece i wrote from the anime/manga and transferred it into a writing piece, I believe its the first episode and the first few chapters of the Berserk series.(2021)

Enjoy.

Rotten skinny flesh with razor sharp black nails hold a red egg between two fingers.

The sky is dark and vast, no one to be seen but evil is deemed fit in this empty world.

The immortal creature said. "No man has control over anything, neither his will."

Thus began a new world.

Many years later, a dusty kingdom in the middle of the day lights up in smoke and fire. Loud cries of angst fill the hallway as the gates are broken to a pulp and arrows spear through the flesh of the unarmed.

Bodies fly in the air before a giant.

The giant wears knight armor that dwarfs any man in his sight and holds an axe that humbles any man who dares to challenge the beast.

A rugged and rough deep voice speaks through the helmet that shakes men to the core. "Anyone daring to stand up to me?"

Men whisper to one another, all rooted to the floor. "Is that not the great Bakuzo? the great north kings knight?"

A man sweats in terror, adding flavor to the rumors being spread. "The same beast that slaughtered over 30 men in one day?"

Bakuzo's eyes glint in amusement through the two holes in his helmet.

Their general, gallops with his horse before them and shouts. "What are you men doing?!"

He continues. "Quit wailing and return to battle this instant."

But no one moves.

The general by the name of Xavi, sighs in defeat.
What men had been raised during the merchant training?

He raised his sword, ready for battle before catching a figure in the distance walking past the numerous stone struck soldiers, Xavi's sword slid back with relief.

The figure stood alone before Bakuzo.

He wore the recognizable rookie armor known for its sheer weak protection only covering the head, chest and legs.

However what caught the attention of the crowd was the large sword on his back that defiantly belonged to the class of soldiers the size of Bakuzo.

Mutters of disbelief between men as they realized a kid was in a standoff against the Goliath in length and width like man.

Bakuzo threw his head back, chuckling.
"Is it not funny how a brat thinks he can dare challenge the likes of me," he pointed at the rookie and continued, "wearing armor barely fit for war."

"Either your army is running short of men or this foolish brave child is surrounded by arrogant cowards no better."

"Is he not a fool?!" he asked, demanding a response.

"The brat is a fool," repeated the weak willed men.

Bakuzo said. "Now come and fight me fool, I will remember your face for years to come on my axe for your braver-"

His sentence was cut short; men watched in a state of daze.

The aggressive minded rookie's footsteps were too quick. Bakuzo placed the axe before the slithering snake bite in the shape of a sword nearly the size of his axe.

Metal struck with another, Bakuzo peddled back, damp in fear. The rookies insane fury left him near the edge of belittlement.

"Such speed?!"

"This brats strength has Bakuzo retreating back to the north!"

The compliments and disrespect stirred anger from within.

He dug his foot in, pushing the sword away.
A might roar escaped his helmet.

Bakuzo swung for the head and missed. The rookie stood straight.

Bakuzo stepped back. Raising the axe to his shoulders.

Seconds later.
Thunder clapped.

The rookies helmet broke. Bakuzo smiled like a wild animal but then hissed. The rookies sword dug into the side of the stomach.

The ground trembled.

Men watched in disbelief, never had they seen a battle of David and Goliath unfold in front of their eyes.

"Wait please!!" screamed Bakuzo.

The rookie roared. Bakuzo's soft skull split wide open. The rookies hands and sword splattered in dark wine.

After the war was finished, the remaining soldiers from the North were captured while the cowards retreated.

General Xavi dropped the pouch containing gold coins to the unknown rookie. "Here is your money for defeating Bakuzo."

The rookie opened the pouch.

"Don't you think you could work under me?" said general Xavi.

The gold coins were tested. Cracking, bending and attention to detail. It was real, he determined.

General Xavi asked again. "You could work on the sidelines for us and not have to be involved with death encounters every time you step out into a field."

"We can also assure you the women would love your presence."

Chocolate melted in honey orbits. Stone sculpted features. Thick long lashes and brows. He was a dark fantasy sought after.

The rookie put the money back, walking away from General Xavi.

"My time here is done." he finally said.

General Xavi caught up. "Wait, please think about what I said, you really don't need to be in danger all the time," placing his hand softly on the rookies shoulder.

The rookie pushed him flat to the ground. Attached to his sword immediately.

"Hands off!"

"B-but I.."

"Don't ever touch me with your Hands."

General Xavi scuffled back in dust, fearing he would meet his end. The rookie walked away before he could say anything else.

The end.

I wrote this piece in 2019 because of how much berserk had influenced me as a writer and a storyteller, now that has only increased..

Im so sad with the recent passing of the author Kentarou Miura, he seriously has influenced me with his work and I think opened my eyes into what it means to leave a legacy with work that had originality and love put into it.

Berserk was just something different honestly, im really sad over his passing.
