Psycho.

Psychotic.

Murderous.

Insane.

Insanity.

Lost.

The six main words that the tabloids use to describe the mad hatter. She was and is completely insane. Some people say she should be locked into an asylum, others say if you don't bother her she won't come for you, and the majority says that she's worse than the winter soldier and the god of mischief combine.

"You guys have heard of the Mad Hatter right?" Steve announced from the brief room to his team. They all nodded their heads highly educated about the psychotic assassin that roams the U.S. "Great. We all have heard of her. But no one knows who she is. No one knows her name, her whereabouts, anything. No background. What we know is that she's a highly skilled insane assassin. Fury believes she'd be an amazing asset to the team if we could possibly get her to use her insanity for good." Steve continued to brief the Avengers.

Loki looked uninterested. The Mad Hatter. He scoffed to himself not caring about anything that had to do with her. He hated her. He was and is the god of mischief. He's insane. For all the right reasons. She's taking his glory away and he despises it completely.

Bucky looked as if he'd seen a ghost. He's heard of the mad hatter and he's straight up fought against her. The fishnet stockings shaped into skulls held by her garters with the metal shaped like fire. The three dagger holisters on her leg holding three daggers each. The short and tight dark purple high waisted shorts just long enough to barely cover her ass. The black doc marten boots littered with hahaha all around as if she were the joker. The black tight crop top tank top with the dark purple leather jacket to cover it, the mask that looks just like Bucky's that covers everything but her eyes up. And the fucking hat. That damn hat. The dark purple fedora was her weapon and it made her more scary and intimidating. He hated everything about you because you took his title away. He was the best assassin and now you are the best assassin.

Steve was more or less intrigued by you. He loved every move you made. It was like he could repeatedly watch the videos online and he loved it. Steve wanted to help you the most. He believed there was good in everyone and that he could find it in you. Although if he fought you it'd be hard and dangerous and honestly he almost doubted himself like he might not be able to win, but to help you...it was worth it.

"Great. Well we need to track her. People in New York have spotted her in certain areas and I think we'll be able to create a big enough distraction to get her off of her guard. If and when we capture her we need to lock her in a cell for now if we don't...I'm sure you all know what would happen." He trailed off not wanting to even cross the invisible line of the inevitable of you killing off every Avenger. "Yeah right Steve. We can't even get within 100 feet of her. She's a spy and an assassin. Although she never was trained by HYDRA or anything like that she's awfully skilled for someone who hasn't been trained properly." Tony spoke to him. Although he was decently interested he knew this wasn't the best idea.

"Listen I know I'm asking for a lot, but I think I can help her." Steve spoke aloud trying his hardest to convince Tony to get on board with the idea. "Steve he's right. This isn't the greatest idea." Natasha spoke up taking Tony's side, although Steve wasn't necessarily fond of Natasha he still respected her feedback considering he is a gentleman. "Buck?" Steve turned to his best friend knowing Bucky would take a bullet to the brain for him. "Buddy...I don't know. I mean why her?" He tried to pry more information out of him. He knew there had to be a reason for Steve's persistence on this. "We'll talk after." Steve moved on dismissing everyone from the room.

"Bud what's going on with you? Why are you so interested in her?" Bucky scoffed knowing there was something Steve wasn't telling him. "Buck. I think we can help her. Deep down I honestly don't think she's insane. I think there's something that bothers her enough to kill. If we save her than maybe...her humanity will come back." Steve sounded hopeful that Bucky might actually take his side. "Talk to Loki. If anyone is as insane as she is it's him. I'm with you til the end of the line Steve so I'm in." Bucky agreed patting Steve's shoulder as he walked out trying to find Loki.

You on the other hand were listening to every word they said. "Idiots." You scoffed to yourself. You were standing right outside the door concealed by your magic. You followed them here knowing they were watching you, there had to be a reason and you found out. "Captain America out of all people." You said aloud for him to hear. He stood confused considering no one was in the meeting room. "What? Think you're going...insane?" She questioned manically laughing as she unconcealed herself and sat in one of the chairs.

"You're- how did you- I-" Steve stuttered over his words as you sat before him playing with a knife in your hand. Not that you were going to throw it at him or anything but you just wanted to make his adrenaline pump. "Yes I'm the mad hatter. I got in by concealing myself from my magic. You're Steve Rogers. Captain America. What an honor it is to meet the famous superhero." You spit out sarcastically. Steve gained his confidence as you spoke. "What are you going here?" He asked sitting down at the other end of the table. "I came to tell you to stop looking for me. I don't want to be saved Mr.Rogers. I prefer to keep my humanity off and my insanity...well insane." You smiled under the mask that looked like the winter soldiers.

"With all do respect Ms....I don't know your name? I can't see your face. The least you can do is take the mask off." Steve calmed down more as he realized you actually weren't here to cause trouble, you were here to just simply talk to him. "Steve I appreciate your eagerness to learn who I am but I prefer again to keep my identity a secret." You smirked. Steve could tell because of the crinkles near your eyes. "Now please Captain America. Leave me. Alone." She got up pausing at the door. "Or else there will be consequences." She finished as she concealed herself to leave the tower leaving Steve debating his originally plan.

Loki and Bucky rushed throw the door within seconds completely unaware of what happened. "So are we doing this? Loki agreed." Bucky spoke as Steve looked fearful for once. You. The mad hatter had struck the fear of yourself...in Captain America.
