Kyrie had heard a lot from her time living on Coruscant, especially about the Jedi. Though she'd never directly spoke or even meet any of them; she figured it was because of morals or reputation. As long as someone paid her, the assassin didn't give a damn.
So when Obi Wan Kenobi approached her, it was incredibly surprising. The Jedi Knight was as polite and charming as rumors said, the kind smile that everyone seems to swoon over perhaps even kinder than Kyrie had heard of.

"Madam Lozen?" The Jedi asked, his head tilting to the side thoughtfully. For a moment, the assassin stared with narrowed eyes before nodding, arms crossed. She was speechless that someone on the Council was talking to her, though her speechlessness worked to an advantage. Nobody knew her voice and she preferred to keep it that way. It kept a part of her secret from even the most prying people. "I would like to request your services, as a personal request."

Kyrie couldn't hide her visible shock at the words, nearly gasping aloud. She quickly restored her cool look, cocking a brow up to show interest. She felt cautious, as if this was a trap of some kind. Though it wouldn't make sense for the Council to suddenly want to get rid of her now. She hadn't done anything to betray the weak bond of trust that was held. The assassin awaited Obi Wan's explanation, noticing the visible worry and hesitation in his eyes. It was perhaps more shocking to see that look in the normally confident Jedi's eyes.

"I'm aware that you normally don't commit to long term assignments like this, but I don't trust anyone else with this." His voice was grave, though his words felt worrying. If an assassin was the only person a Jedi Knight could trust with whatever assignment was in question, it was either a huge job or a personal one. Kyrie gave a small nod to let Obi Wan continue. "I need you to act as a bodyguard for Duchess Satine Kryze."

The pure concern in the Jedi's tone made the assassin nod without even thinking about what exactly this job would mean for her. She didn't even know who she was about to act as a bodyguard for. The soft heart she still possessed despite a harsh life took charge in the situation instead of logic. Relief flooded the Jedi's face, his kind smile returning. "I'll send whatever payment you request every two months. We'll be flying to Mandalore tomorrow evening."
Kyrie nodded again, only half listening to what Obi Wan was saying now. She wasn't about to do research since it was a "day off", so she was truly walking into this job blind.
