"Ivy, come here sweetie, why are you up there?!" Amaia shouted to her 5-year-old pet python on the curly branches of their willow tree. Diego came to see why Amaia is screaming. She helped Ivy to come down from the tree. Amaia approached Ivy, kissing her in her head as if Ivy was going to die! Amaia went inside the East Wing of their elegant mansion, going to her room and putting Ivy in her cage with a large cat tower in it. Ivy really loves to climb and slither. Amaia's best friend is quite unusual, but her love for her is exceedingly boundless. Ivy is a Burmese Python which was given to Amaia for her 3rd Birthday.

On the first day of autumn of 1998, in time of Amaia's Birthday. Her dad, Diego, hired a new gardener named Lucas de la Fuente. As the Alfonso's new gardener is from across the world, particularly in Australia, Lucas ought to bring his only known family member, his only son, Liam. Amaia and Liam have the same age, same qualities, and has certainly both loved Ivy. Diego did not hesitate to provide everything the De la Fuentes needed, especially when he saw that Amaia was happy to have Liam as his playmate and best friend. Diego's wife, Helen, went out and bought organic rabbits for Ivy to eat. Afterward, she came back to get her black card in her office. "Mum! Check what Liam and I did!" Amaia shouted. Helen immediately to see what they did, and she was utterly shocked. Liam tried to tie Ivy in Amaia's neck, which really made Helen quite neurotic. Then, Helen scolds Liam. As Amaia hear the yells in her mom's office, she basically eavesdropped on what they were talking about. She couldn't even understand any of it. But the only thing she realized was when Liam was crying. She immediately opened the ten-feet high doors, startling Liam and her Mom. She protected Liam from her mom because Amaia insisted that it wasn't Liam's fault. After all, it was undoubtedly hers.

After months, winter came. The Alfonsos went out for winter shopping and met Amaia's grandma, Melanie. Amaia is always spoiled when her loving Meemaw is with her – considering the fact that Amaia hasn't even acted like a brat about it. When she knows that her Meemaw will spoil her, she always remembers Liam and convinces her Meemaw to buy him some things, like some new trousers and jumpers. By the time the Alfonsos went home after meeting with Meemaw, Liam was already in front of Amaia's room, getting ready to play with her. "Liam, look at my bag; Meemaw also got something for you," Amaia said. Liam is always really thankful for the things that she gives him, where on that same day, she gave him a remote-controlled racecar. Since the time is still early, they had their time to play with Liam's new toy and some of the things that Meemaw bought Amaia. After one and a quarter hours of playtime, Lucas, the gardener, called his boy for bedtime. "Wait, dad! I'll just say goodbye to Amaia" Liam responded. "Pik, pak, boom, shakalaka," the best friends said for their friendship handshake. At 8 o'clock, Liam went to their room, in the West Wing of the property, right by the stables. Amaia has always loved writing into her diary, which can be relatively compared to a scrapbook letter – as the pages also contain glitters, sequins, and pictures.
