Part twenty-five

When Y/n leaves, we sit in silene for a minute. LeighAnne and Jesy go comfort Jade. I dont move. I'm in literal shock.

My phone pings. I look. It's a news thing.

I click on it.

"21 year old singer songwriter Y/n Y/l/n spotted walking around alone looking down. Trouble in paradise?"

I turn it off.

Hours pass and we're all worried. It's dark. Y/n isn't back yet. We've called her countless times. Left so many voicemails. Texted her over 100 times each.

Not once has she responded.

I hope she's okay.

I just watched the sunset. I swear it gets more beautiful every time.

I'm sat on a cliff. It took me a good few hours to get here. I shut off my phone and just sat with my feet dangling over the edge. It's dark now.

I hear a growl. I turn and see a wolf.

"Hello." I say.

It tilts its head and walks over to me.

"Honestly, if you want, maul me. I'm not bothered. Just be warned, I'm cold." I say.

It sits next to me and i look at it.

"You're actually kinda tame." I say.

I think this wolf is a guy. Yep. He's a guy.

He lays down next to me and we both just stay quiet. I just pet it.

"I've never met a wolf before. I had a feeling you guys were all people. Cos of werewolves. But werewolves dont exist. Only in tv shows. But still. Your fur is really really soft. What conditioner do you use?"

He look at me and tilts his head.

"I just asked a wolf what conditioner he uses."

Ugh i hate myself.

"Do you like the sunset or sunrise? 1 paw for sunset. Two for sunrise."

I hold my hands out. He looks like he thinks for a minute. Then he puts one paw on my hand.

"You understand what I'm saying?"

He takes back his paw and just lays there.

"Honestly, you're pretty cool. I wont lie. And you're a softie." I say.

He looks at me. I swear this guy nows what I'm saying.

"Okay okay i take it back. You're not a softie." I say.

He puts his head down. I grab my phone and turn it on. After a few minutes my phone basically blows up with notifications.

Voicemails, missed calls, messages. All from the girls. And even a message from my sister on Instagram.

I dont respond to her messages.

I listen to the voicemails. They basically all sound the same. I put my phone away and sigh.

"So when you're out, right, do you always do this? One paw for yes. Two for no." I say.

He puts two paws in my hands.

"Cool. I like to watch the sunset from a high point. It's just so calming." I say.

Eventually, i decide to just go on a walk. Leaving the wolf to lay there. I do hug him. And i swear he hugged me back.

It's around 2am right now and I've finally decided to go back to the bus. The girls are passed out on the sofa. I sigh and shut the door.

Obviously loud enough to jolt them awake. They look at me. Jade is the first one to run at me. Instead of yelling, or hitting me, she kisses me. I'm not complaining but I'm just stuck really.

Before she pulls back, i kiss her back. When she pulls back, she looks me dead in the eyes.

"We thought you were dead Y/n. You didn't answer any of our texts or our calls." She says.

"Yeah i turned my phone off." I say.

The girls hug me.

"We figured out a plan. For what to do with the management thing." Jade says.

I look at her. She has a smile on her face. Ugh the guilt.

"What's the plan?" I ask.

"W-well.... we could secretly date until the whole thing has blown over." Jade says.

They run through a bunch of plans.

"I dont think any of those will work." I say.

They look at me. Jade has the most heartbreaking look on her face.

"B-but they have to... i-i need them to." Jade says.

Idea!

"Let me handle this. Give me about 2 days tops." I say.

"W-why?" Jade asks.

"Trust me. I'll sort it. You girls should get some sleep." I say.

"No. No i wanna stay up with you." Jade says.

I look between the girls. They're giving me the 'just let her stay up with you asshole' look.

"Okay." I say.

They go to bed and me and Jade sit on the sofa. I start texting their management.

"I'm gunna make a quick call. I'll be about 15 minutes." I say.

She nods. I place a kiss on her forehead and go outside.

This better work.
