One of the most beautiful romantic films I have ever seen. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. The cast is fantastic, and Christopher Reeve (whom I lament the fact that he is no longer with us, taken far too soon) is the ideal actor for this part. He exudes beauty and has a beautiful smile to match. In his desperation to reclaim his lost love, he is gut-wrenchingly maniacal. Jane Seymour, who is simply beautiful, and he make the perfect romantic pair. There is an undeniable bond between them. The costumes and scenery effortlessly transport you to a more tranquil age.The music, on top of all of this beauty, takes you on a ride right from the start, with the two themes seamlessly mixing. The exquisite John Barry composition and the classical Rachmaninoff piece smoothly move from one age to the next. If you're like me and watch it more than once, you'll cry...I warn you right at the start. It's worth a shot. Strongly suggested.
