The next day, Raj had already spoken with Raman and was now fully aware of everything. His anger flared, and he was ready to have those people arrested, but Nandini stopped him just in time.
Manik called Cabir into his room, his temper palpable.
"Are you going to say anything now?" Manik asked, frustration clear in his voice.
Cabir took a deep breath, recalling everything Nandini had shared with him.
"Nandini told me about the Vermas. When she and Manik went to select the rings, they met them. After Manik left for London, she received a call from him the very next day. He threatened to harm Manik unless Soha married him, to secure business ties with the Malhotras. Nandini intervened, but the Vermas found her vulnerability—Manik. She can't risk his safety. And Prashant Verma has been keeping a close watch on her."
Manik's eyes burned with anger. "I knew it... I should've known from the moment I saw that man. I should've done something then!"
Cabir, trying to calm him down, spoke carefully, "We can still take legal action, Manik."
Nandini's voice echoed in Manik's mind. She had sounded resigned but determined when she said, "We can't do anything right now. I can't risk Manik's life. And please, keep me updated, Cabir. But tell him... I miss him... so much."
Cabir's eyes softened as he remembered Nandini's words. "Bhabhi, we can't let you do this alone."
Nandini's face had shown both determination and concern when she replied, "I'm not leaving Manik. I'll fight this, but we need to be careful. Stay safe, and keep me updated."
Cabir looked at her, silently agreeing. "We'll figure this out together, Bhabhi."
PRESENT: Manik's Room
Manik paced the room, frustration clouding his thoughts. "How could he do this? How dare he try to use Soha to control everything?"
Cabir, trying to steady his friend, interrupted his thoughts. "Manik, just breathe. She'll be here soon. You'll be able to talk to her."
But Manik shook his head. "She shouldn't have had to deal with this on her own for so long. She should have told me. I'm not letting this go."
Raj and Nyonika entered the room, seeing the storm of emotions brewing in Manik. Raj placed a calming hand on his son's shoulder.
"Beta, Nandini was trying to protect you. You have to understand that," Raj said softly.
Manik ran a hand through his hair, his anger not easing. "It's not just about me. She should have been able to lean on us. Why did she handle it alone?"
Nyonika stepped forward, her voice firm. "Manik, we will deal with the Vermas together. But right now, we need to focus on keeping everyone safe."
Raj added, "Nandini messaged me. They're coming tomorrow. She'll go to the airport first, then change and meet us through a private route. The Murthys will be here in the morning. Raman and I already spoke."
Manik sighed in frustration. "She can't just go there alone. It's not safe. Why doesn't anyone listen?"
Cabir interjected, "Bhai, it's a part of the plan. You have to trust her."
Manik shot a glare at Cabir, but Nyonika intervened before the tension could escalate.
"Enough! No one is going to hurt her. Security will be with her, and no one is going to touch her," Nyonika said, her voice carrying authority.
Manik's jaw tightened. "I know she's strong, but she can't keep putting herself in danger."
"Manik," Raj said with a warning tone, "you're not alone in this. We're all in this together."
