Hi, reader, Theo here. I've always been fascinated with Filipino magic and superstition (my family has some history of being involved with it) so I decided to write a little something. Inspired by my own lust for history and the movie Quezon's Game I placed what I know about Filipino albularyo/magic and placed it in 1930's Philippine Commonwealth, the height of the American Occupation.

I haven't written in a long while and this is a start for me. I'm publishing this story just to see where it takes me as a writer and as a guy who likes to make stuff up. Okay I need to nail my mouth shut, this is getting too long.

I just want to say that your experiences of Filipino magic may be different from me, given every province has their own set of strange occult traditions hidden somewhere. And no this is not about pre-colonial Filipino gods, I'm sorry. Also I didn't do much research, this is just what my grandparents and my relatives told me about the mystical parts of the Philippines.

PS. This is all a work of fiction. The amalgamations of four cups of coffee and that one really weird brain cell I have.

Welp, what else do I have to say? Enjoy!
