"Missy, come here." I stormed through the door, throwing my stuff onto the sofa and attacking my friend in a hug.
"Thank you so much." I squeezed Holly, making her make some strangled noises.
"For what?" She pushed me away, grinning. I rolled my eyes, knowing that she was just doing this to get more attention.
"Oh I don't know." I pretended to think about it. "Oh yeah, for helping me meet Stereo Kicks." I screamed in her face, jumping up and down in circles. She laughed her annoying guinea pig laugh that she always laughs and smiles at me.
"It was ok." She walked away and sat on the sofa, ignoring my presence once again. I jumped over the sofa and landed next to her, staring at the TV.
"What are you watching?" I asked, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl and tossing it side to side, resulting in it going flying and hitting Holly in the head.
"Ow." She rubbed the sore spot where it had hit and turned to look at me, giving me a sharp glare before staring back at the TV.
"Keeping up with the Kardashians." She chuckled, me gasping loudly.
"And today, we have our special guest, Holly Kingston." I wiped away the tears before sitting up straight and shouting.
"CARMEX."

Let me explain. You are all probably thinking, ok what? When Holly and I were 13, we had several incidents where we had crazy laughing fits after saying random things or random events. Such events are like the Carmex incident. I ended up flinging my lip gloss around the room when trying to apply it, resulting it getting stuck between two tables. Holly ended up laughing so much, she fell off her chair. Literally. She bruised her butt because of it. So yeah. Just some inside jokes can still us laugh today.
"Oh those were the happy days." Holly wiped her tears away. I gave her strange look. What was she going on about? She always did strange things like that. I was always convinced that she was secretly born in a mental asylum. We turned back to the TV and watched the show, laughing occasionally together.

I woke up, peeling a cookie from my cheek and placing on the plate next to me. Seeing the TV still on, I rummaged under the pile of popcorn and finally found it, turning it off. Loud snores from behind me made me spin around, grabbing the remote as a weapon only to see Holly hanging off the sofa backwards, her legs twitching in her sleep. I looked down to my phone to see that I had a new message, the reason why I had woken up.

Blushing, I finally silenced my phone and set it down, closing my eyes and falling asleep again. Waking up the next morning wasn't pleasant. I mean it was a freaking Saturday morning and I had woken up before 11:00. Crime. Looking at the time, I groaned, seeing it was only 9:00. Swinging my legs around the sofa from where they were resting on Holly's head, I made my way upstairs to my bedroom. Changing out of my pyjamas, I grabbed some running shorts and a sports bra, changing and tying my Nike trainers tightly. Doing a few stretches, I left the house, leaving a note for Holly, not like she would notice my disappearance.

Jogging down the street, I turned left and entered the park, deciding to run around the edge of the field. Inserting the headphones into my ears, I played Stereo Kick's newest single, jogging to the beat, my head bobbing along. The cold crisp morning air had woken me up more than before and made me feel a lot fresher, despite getting sweaty. Passing a bench, I suddenly felt someone's hands grab me and I was pulled into a bush. I opened my mouth to scream for help, feeling a large hand cover my mouth firmly. Looking up at my captor, my eyes widened and I hit the hand of Charlie's away.
"Charlie, you scared me." I whispered, placing my hand on my thumping heart.
"Sorry love." He grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his head with his hand, his blue eyes sparkling, his cheeks turning a cute shade of re- Ok why am I talking like Beth? And why in my head?
"It's ok." I leaned against a nearby tree, folding my arms. "Just don't do it again in the future please." He laughed, copying my actions on the tree opposite.
"Sorry, I just didn't want to get caught at this time." He started rambling on before frowning, staring at me weirdly. "What are you doing up this early? I thought normal teenagers slept until past mid-day." I shrugged.
"I usually do but I couldn't get back to sleep." I began to stretch, a yawn escaping my lips. "Now if you will excuse me, I have a jog to finish." Turning my back on him, I suddenly felt an arm grab my arm, softly.
"Wait Rosie." I turned, with a small frown etching upon my eyebrows.
"Do you want to hang out....next week?" His hung his head, a blush forming on his cheeks as he asked me a question.
"Sure." I replied without a question.
"Cool. Uh...I'll text you the address," Charlie smiled at me, letting go. "Bye." He turned on his heel and began to walk away from me, a bounce in his step. Chuckling softly, I turned my back as well, jogging back along the field, a smile permanently painted onto my lips.
