Mingyu Oneshot

"Let's meet up. Usual park." Mingyu's voice resonates throughout your apartment. "Okay. I love you," you say. But he already ended the call.

I sure hope he's not breaking up with me. He's been kinda cold lately. Everything was going well between us until he had that project and got too busy for us.

Huh.
After 5 years?
Is he just gonna let us fall apart?

I shouldn't overthink.
What if he's gonna apologize and explain?
But he didn't even say 'I love you' back..?

I went to the park anyways. He's sitting on the swing, wearing the coat I gave him on his 23rd birthday.

"Gyu, love."

"You're here."

"Why did you suddenly want to come here? Are we okay?" Was I too straightforward?

"We're okay, love. I just wanna tell you that you're the most wonderful person I've ever met in my life. The most beautiful, caring, sweet, funny, crazy person," he ends it with a chuckle.

"You're not breaking up with me, right?" Now, that's straightforward.

"No! Of course not! What made you think that?" He hugs you when he notices your teary eyes.

"It's just," you gulp. "You've been kinda cold lately." Mingyu pecks your pouting lips.

"I'm here to stay. With you. Forever." He hoped you get the hint but when he didn't see any reaction from you, he just continued going down on one knee.

"W-what.." You imagined having a family with him but you totally didn't expect that he would propose soon.

"My love. My sunshine, my moonlight, my twinkling star. I know it's kinda corny but I love you too much and I'm willing to do everything for you. Will you marry me?"

"YES! ABSOLUTELY!"

Mingyu holds your cheek and you two smile the biggest smiles you've put on. He kisses you with the love he has for you.

You're now wearing a ring. Not just any ring. It's an engagement ring. From the love you know would last.

After staring at the ring for a while, Mingyu notices that it's getting late.

"Let me drive you home. I brought my car," he pecks your temple and he walks to the parking lot nearby.

"GYU?! LOVE?!"

"KIM MINGYU WAKE UP!"
