-Chains are fun, chains are nice
Nagito was lost in thought, as he decided to play with the chain that was attached to his collar. The sound of metallic noises clanking on the floor to which he toyed with just pained him. Nowhere to go, just a lost cell in an enclosed room all alone. It's as if his own hope was fading away. Sighing, the male soon laid on the ground, simply staring at the ceiling, too tired to care about anything at this point.
"Uhh..Nagito, are you in there?"
If Nagito was a dog, his ears would have perked up by now, as he heard that familiar voice of the man on the other side of the door.
That voice..could it be?
"Hm? Yeah, sure." Nagito sat up, looking at the door.
"Alright then-" Hajime just replied awkwardly, not knowing if he should even come in or not. I mean, he hasn't really spoke to Nagito that much so it'd make sense for him to be feeling this right now.
"You can come in if you want!" Nagito ever so slightly smiled, trying to make himself sound energetic, instead it came out a bit forceful and Nagito mentally cringed to himself.
"Ok..." Hajime pushed the door slightly and peeked through, and met himself with a familiar pair of beaming eyes before stepping inside.
Nagito wanted to smile more, but he didn't, he just kept the very, veeerrryy small smile he had.
It's really him.
"So,, uhm, what brings you here?" Nagito questioned towards the man in front of him, swiftly and discreetly looking at him from top to bottom admiring him.
"Well I'm not really sure, I just found you here all alone so..I figured you needed some company or something."
"Oh, well, I don't mind you staying here for a bit!" Nagito's smile grew a bit, along with some quiet laughter.
What are you doing? Stop laughing, you freak.
Nagito tried to ignore the thought in his head, would Hajime think we was weird for laughing? Or is he just overreacting because his crush friend is in the same room with him?
"Alright!" Hajime smiled and sat down on the cold floor next to him. "So..what have you been up to?"
"Ehhh, nothing much really. What about you?" Nagito smiled and twiddled with his fingers, making himself a bit a fidget. He really couldn't help it, he was honestly very happy to talk to Hajime.
"Oh I was actually just wondering around the school seeing if anything interesting was going on. Though, I was gonna go to the playground but it's a bit..let's just say it's chaotic." Hajime scratched the back of his head and chuckled. It was chaotic, a bunch of loud kids screaming about the place, what on earth was even going on?
"Oh, the playground is being chaotic? How so?" Nagito simply looked at Hajime instead of his fingers, tilting his head a bit for further information from the man.
"Korekiyo, Himiko, and that kid Masaru, I can't tell if they're having an argument or discussion of some sort but, they're sure as hell loud."
"Oh, that does seem chaotic. Well, I hope that argument ended well..?" Nagito's response came out as a question to his dismay.
"Mhm, same." Hajime stretched out a hearty grin, and patted Nagito on his left shoulder.
Nagito's smile grew, now casually covering up his goofy smile as the other patted his shoulder.
