CHAPTER 9

I thought about going after him, but I didn't. I just let him walk away. I stood there feeling like a complete idiot and crying. I went over to the ledge and just looked over it, while crying. I feel to my knees, trying to think of all the things I could have done to make Four mad at me, but I could think of nothing, I had done nothing to make him mad at me. I felt someone touch my shoulder, I turned around and there stood Zouse. He reached out his hand, I grabbed it and got up. He said "you weren't thinking about jumping we're you" I said "no, its just..." He saw the tears on my face and said "are you okay Tris" I said "Yea, I'm fine, I just don't wanna talk about it" he touched side, I tensed up and he said "you know you can talk to me about anything, right" I just shook my head and started to walk off, when he stopped me by grabbing my arm and said "let me take you back to your room" he let go of my arm and I said "no, I'll just go by myself" I walked off. While I was walking back toward my room I ran into Christina. She said "hey where are you going" I said "oh just back to my room" she said "you look sad, what's wrong" I said "nothing" she said "I know what will get your mind off things"I said "what" she said "there's this big party tonight on the roof, you should come" I said "I don't know" she said "come on, Fours the host he's definitely going to be there" I said "okay, I'll think about it" she smiled and walked off. I started walking again back to my room and thought I have to go, if Fours gonna be there, maybe I can talk to him. A couple of Daultless people passed me as I was walking down toward my room, I figured they were going to go get the party ready. I decided I would go, but not alone. I finally got back to my room, I changed into something a little more cuter and walked back out the door. I walked to Zouses room and I knocked on the door. He opened and I said "hey, I'm sorry I was so rude earlier, its just I've had a rough day" he said "don't worry about it, I understand" I said "well, I came over here to ask if you wanted to go to a party with me" he said "the one on the roof" I said "yes" he said "sure I was just heading over there anyways"
