"Hi, Sir. Good Evening."
This little man in front of me greeted with a smile as I open our front door.
I didn’t say a word.
Why would I.
He’s offering his hand.
For a shake.
I simply look at his hand and back at him.
Napansin niya yung kagaspangan ng ugali ko at binawi na lang ang kamay.
"Sir, I’m here to visit your daughter. My name is-"
I didn’t let him finish.
I know him.
"I know you. Stop being formal, kid. And, my answer is no. You can go."
Matigas kong sabi.
"Pero, Sir."
He’s stopping me from closing our door.
He looked so determined.
I liked it.
But, no.
He can’t have my daughter.
"I said, you may go, kid."
Polite ko namang sabi.
"Sir, babalik po ako. Hanggang sa maibigay niyo na po ang tiwala niyo sa akin. Salamat po."
I simply smiled at him.
I passed by the music room. There I saw my princess playing the piano.
She’s really like her Mom.
Napangiti naman ako.
Speaking of her Mom. Puntahan ko nga sa kusina.
My Queen is at the kitchen. Preparing our dinner.
Her hair in a messy bun and she’s wearing an apron.
She look sexy. And I love her.
I hugged her from behind.
"Hey." Tumingin siya sa akin at humarap.
"Sino yung nasa labas?"
She asked while playing with my hair.
"The same guy." Lumukot ang mukha ko.
"Persistent ha." She smiled. "Impressive." She said a matter of fact.
"Impressive my ass." Pagsalungat ko.
"Grumpy kid as ever." Natatawa niyang sabi.
"I’m not grumpy."
"Over-protective monster." Inaasar talaga ako nito eh.
"I’m over protective but I’m not a monster."
"You are becoming one. Boo."
Magsasalita pa dapat ako pero bigla siyang nagsalita habang papalayo sakin, at may kukunin sa fridge.
"Akala ko ba you want to be like your dad to you. Yung sobrang cool."
Sabi niya habang hinuhugasan yung mga patatas.
Magsasalita na naman sana ako pero humirit na naman siya.
"Eh as you aged, you are being like my dad. Dahil ba close na kayo masyado? Huh? Daddy Monster?"
Tanong niya habang natatawa. Pero, I sensed naman na seryoso siya sa kung anong gusto niyang sabihin.
"I was just protecting her. You know that over-sa-luwag-mommy-na-minsan-hindi-na-cool."
