Kongpob was very happy... Why? Because, it was Christmas in two days. And it was his favourite time of the year. And the favourite part of his job.

He was going to do that one thing, which gives him immense pleasure.

Kong put on his black jeans and emerald green, turtle neck sweater. And black sneakers.

He parted his hairs from the side. Messily. And looked at himself in the huge oak framed mirror. And smiled.

Kong looked over and smiled wider. Looking at the Christmas decorations, adorning his huge, dark wooded room. And furniture.

The couch in the corner, besides the huge window had a list, laid over it. And the round table in front of the couch had plates full of ginger bread, cookies and butter bread.

The piano in one corner, playing. "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas." On it's own.

The small fireplace in the corner was lit. And keeping the room warm.

Kong walked towards the couch. And stood behind it, staring out of the window.

At the huge, spread out expanse of ground covered in deep layers of snow. And the aurora, that danced overhead, shone a warm glow over the otherwise white expanse.

Of the North Pole.

The scene always remained the same. Everyday here. But, it was still beautiful. And home. For Kongpob.

He jolted, coming out of his reverie. Hearing a loud bang of door, downstairs.

Kong sighed. Hearing the dramatic scream next. Looks like his peaceful moment was now gone.

Kong looked towards the piano, and waved his hand. The piano stopped playing. And the only sound left, was the crackling of firewood, in the fireplace. And the screams downstairs.

Kong held his breaths, and pretended he didn't hear anything. To save himself. And the house fell quite, for sometimes. Until.

"KONGPOB... Get down here."

Kong groaned, hearing the booming voice, from downstairs. And pulled the door of his room open, and banged it shut behind him. As he rushed downstairs.

And like expected. A really chubby old man, with huge belly and long white beards and moustache was sitting on the huge couch beside the biggest fireplace of their brightly lit cottage. Which was now stuffed with wrapped up gifts, of all sizes. Piled on every corner of the room.

The pale bald head, reflecting the light of the fire from the fireplace. The round pale cheeks red. As Kong was glared at by the deep blue eyes.

Kong folded his hands in front of him and faced the cute, chubby red faced old man.

"Yes Pappy."

"Don't Pappy me." The old man snapped. "Look at him."

Kong looked over his shoulder. And burst into laughter loudly. Pointing at a fuming, red in rage Bright.

His emerald green turtle neck sweater and dark jeans, torn in places. His hairs sticking everywhere.

Bright's face went in a colour of mad rage, as he glared at Kongpob. Making Kong laugh harder. Bending over and holding his tummy.

"PAPPY." Bright didn't sound amused.

The old man sighed and came to his feet, grunting. As he put his hand over Kong's shoulder. Kong stopped in a snap. And looked over, with controlled laughing, and red face.

"Kongpob. You are the one in-charge of looking after the kids."

Kong rubbed away his tears and chuckled. Looking at his Pappy. "I did. And I do my jobs very good. You know that."
