Kilani's POV

I came face to face with the large glass doors of a board room, they read DTA Records in big block letters. Taking a deep breath in hopes of calming my already uncontrollable nerves, I reached for the doorhandles. The cool metal hitting my fingertips made me freeze in the position I was in, as this was my first meeting of any kind with an established label. I was more composed than I thought I would ever be.

After taking my few brief moments to collect my thoughts; I swung the doors open, loud music immediately filling my ears. My gaze shifted to the long table in the middle of the room. A guy, roughly 5'11, with multiple visible tattoos danced around in the spot right in front of where I was designated to sit at, clearly feeling whatever song he had chosen to blast through the enormous speakers.

I prepare to disrupt him from his thoughts, clearing my throat rather obnoxiously. I begin to walk over to the chair directly in front of him. He continued on with his movements despite my efforts to grab his attention. Clearing my throat for a second time, the guy who remains nameless at this point, turns the song down ever so slightly to the point that he's able to hear someone speak to him. He nods his head as if to ask me what I need. I decide it isn't worth my time or energy to pick a fight with this narcissistic, e-boy rockstar wanna be and I take my seat rolling my eyes as I do so.

"Do that again sweetheart and your eyes may just get stuck up there." His voice was raspy, almost as if he had either just woken up or smoked a whole pack of cigarettes by himself, either way it sent shivers down my spine but I tried my hardest to let it go unnoticed, shooting him daggers with my eyes.

He eventually hopped off the long mahogany table, cutting the loud rock song as a line of executives, managers, producers, and assistants walked through the heavy glass doors and took their seats around the table.

Jaden's POV

I let the smoke hit my lungs before shoving the small gas station disposable in my pocket, stepping up onto the wide table of the board room. Assuming I was alone, I immediately connected my phone to the speakers that were wired throughout the room and hit play on the file I kept in my notes that contained my newest single.

I allowed the music to take over, feeling the bass under my feet as it shook the table. The song played through a few times before I was rudely disrupted by a brown headed girl that had to be no more than 5'3 feet tall. She was dressed in black from head to toe, with butterflies tattooed on her hand that definitely caught my eye.

I could hear the blue eyed girl clear her throat the first time but continued to feel the music vibrate the table before she made her second attempt, moving closer to the chair directly in front of my shiny Doc Martens I had just broken in. I noticed her slight eye roll and decided now would be the perfect time for her to realize she wouldn't be allowed to push me around so I did what I knew best and let my inner narcissist run free, "Do that again sweetheart and your eyes may just get stuck up there."

When the doors swung open and the room flooded with well-dressed middle aged people, I hopped off the table falling into my assigned seat, which coincidentally was right beside Miss Conceited, who I was dying to know more about. I felt eyes glancing over at me, knowing it was her, I decided to lean over and whisper in her ear, "Take a picture, it'll last longer."

Assuming she wouldn't have a clever comeback, I directed my focus back to the pen I was fiddling with before I heard a voice whisper back to me, "Don't be so self centered asshole, your face is all over the media right now."

I smirked at her remark, her words were venomous as she continued, "Jaden Hossler's new album, 'Tell Me About Tomorrow' is set to take over the rock charts," she let a snarky laugh escape her lips as I glanced back at her, resting my forearms on the table now, watching as her lips parted again, "Tragic." Shaking my head, the smirk never once leaving my face, noticing she rolled her eyes for the second time within the hour. "And you are?"
